A great professor,as long as u're willing to work hard you should be fine in this class. she really cares about the students and spends alot of time helping us. replies emails quite fast, normally within a day. i must say, attendance is mandatory though. but she's really understanding if you have a problem and can't make it to class.

Professor Goldthwait is extremely nice!!! One of the most caring prof. I've had by far. Always willing to help those who need it so never hesitate to ask! plus, she usually likes to see that you've put effort, so never underestimate the power of effort.

I took her class for both English 1 and 2 scholars. She is a very sweet professor who wants to help anyone in need. I got an A and if you work hard, you will be able to as well. You just need to come to class, participate in the discussions, and really spend time on your essays and you will do well.

If you are amazingly good at English then go ahead and take her! She can be a great teacher at times, however her class is BORING!! I worked my ass off this semester and I ended up getting a B. She is really meticuoulous when it comes to grading. I don't think I'll ever again take a class with her.

Professor Goldthwait is a great teacher. We read the most interesting plays, poems and short stories this semester. I loved the class. However, it was probably the hardest 'A' I've earned yet. She grades the scholars students in a very strict fashion and expects a lot in the writing. A great class if you're ready to work!

Possibly the nicest woman I've ever met, and the best prof I had this semester. It's obvious she loves to teach and makes the material interesting. Charming woman, i often thought of her as a character walked out of a van Gogh painting. Really interested in student welfare, and makes the classroom bubble with activity when she does her round table discussions.I loved attending every single lecture of hers, and would have opted for more - only had i not transferred. The deserving do get As!!!

When I took this class, I thought I was gonna fail because I didnt read the 300 something page book until the weekend before the final, but I worked my ass off and got a B in the class. G-d bless her, she is an angel from above.
