Dr. Kilgust is actually really funny and it made her class more enjoyable. I took ENG165 with her and we had to read a lot. We read 5 books cover to cover and sometimes were assigned 100 pages every two nights. If you don't like reading, skip this course. She is a very interesting person and can be quite hilarious at times when you least expect it.

Boring class because no one but 2 students really participated in the discussions. Prof Kilgust tried to make it as entertaining as possible but couldn't due to the nature of the course. We had to read like 5 novels but I only really read 1 and googled the synopsis of the other 4. I'm sure the rest of the class did the same and teacher knew it.

Fun class, easy even if you aren't an English Major. Didn't pick up my book many times and got an A in the class. She goes over the readings in class, so show up to class. She's always willing to help you with assignments and is super easy going. A fun class would recommend it as a Gen Ed.

I took ENG255 for my Humanities GenEd. It's expected to write papers, reading and learning about history, but even if you're not into writing or history, this is still an easy class to take.

She was really knowledgeable about the subject, but sometimes the lecturing can get really dull. Having a good class to participate is key; I didn't have one, so every hour felt like two. She's always willing to help students though!

She may seem dull but she surprises you and is actually a funny person. She is always there to help you. Every paper she has a meeting with you after your rough draft and gives you feedback and helps you fix it up.

As a person, I really like Kilgust. However, for the ENG170 Seminar her teaching methods were not helpful on the standard oral exam all freshmen took. My friends all got 90's and no one in the class recived above an 80.
