I agree that she can be rather opinionated and has shut down some people in class but all around I think shes an excellent professor. She knows what shes talking about and she does what she can to help. I have her class at 9 in the morning but I look forward to it.

Comment:

She is really smart, but VERY arrogant and pretentious. She talks down to everyone, she randomly calls on perople and asks them questions, shoots them down when they answer, and when they try to respond she cuts them off. She doesnt want to consider anyone else's perspective. She does teach well, but personality-wise I think shes rather rude and abrasive. I dont know how everyone can say she is sweet. One kid had his gf visiting from another school and she completely humiliated her in front of the class.

She is soo sweet and such a good teacher. Her classes are enjoyable and informative. she has fair tests and even if you get a bad grade she will dop anything in her power to help you pass. she said that she has only failed 2 students in all her years of teaching...awesome lady!!!

Prof. Patton was a great teacher. Although u will have to work hard considering the subject matter is quite difficult, Mrs. Patton is a great teacher as well as a samrt, educated, and caring individual. She will try and help you as best as she can. I highly recommend her for BLAW!

I couldnt picture their being a better teacher than her for law at hofstra. Her tests are hard but take good notes and their will be no suprises. My grades weren't great in the beginning and she was more than willing to work with me and I ended up getting hooked up .she's a sweetheart.

Patton is a cool professor who makes class extremely enjoyable. Her tests are easy, she goes over all the material during the lectures so nothing comes as a surprise. She takes her time & makes sure you understand.

I learned soooooo much from her class but only cause I had to study hours for her really really hard test. I studied forever for her tests but never pulled off higher than a B...really hard tests. Her class goes by quick and is interesting.
