Had to miss a field trip for a sports related event and she penalized me. Had about three hours of homework a night and she would closely look over your answers and harshly grade you for it. Most of the time did not know a single thing I read. Barb really knows her geoscience, people who are actually like this subject will appreciate this course

She makes an already awful class even worse. Her teaching style is teach yourself and if you go to her outside of class she is not helpful

Was my favorite class b/c it was so interesting and Barb is so incredibly smart and at the top of her field. Unfortunately she was completely uncommunicative about considering my work to be below subpar. Basically I put in a LOT of work for the class, which you have to, and got screwed on the final grade and with my gpa.

Barb is awesome. Her class was fascinating and I always left wanting to know more. She is one of the smartest most interesting people I've had the pleasure of meeting. She has extremely high expectations for both her students and herself. Regardless of your interest in Geology, you should take this class.

Barb is good she def. knows what she's talking about in Geo, but she plays favorites and that kinda sucks. She has really funny expression like golly whichi s funny. Class is VERY long you hard to sit down the entire 2 hrs and get impatient.ALOT ALOT of hw, but no tests. Hw are ussually complicated and long. will try 2 convince u 2 major in geo.

Barb is UH-mazing. Very helpful, clear, approachable. She gives a lot of busy-work and it can be hard. Go over concepts and HW with others in the class and you'll do well! There were no exams, just LOTS of presentations and HWs that keep you busy. Dont miss class because she WILL notice. The class had 8 people in total so it was personal and fun.

Barb is a wonderful teacher who makes even the most abstract of concepts understandable. She is the reason I chose to minor in geology. I highly suggest that you take any class she offers, although Structure is her specialty and is, naturally, more demanding (i.e. it has exams).

Barb definately plays favorites to her loyal suck-ups in class. She only helps her favorites and even goes so far as to blatantly ignore the questions from other students who are equally interested in learning. While I will not deny that the woman is brilliant it does not change how awful I found the class.

Barb is a great professor. All 4 classes I took with her were amazing and are among my favorites. She is without a doubt one of the more difficult professors at Hamilton, assigning a great deal of busy work, but you will remember it. No exams either and she always brings in candy and food.

This was a great class. although Barb assigns busy-work it helped me learn the material quite well and she doesn't give exams. She also taught me how to write an A-level college paper and always makes herself available to help students. Simply an amazing professor. Good cook too.

My comments keep getting erased. I said that this woman was hard and has no concept of reality. I can't help it if that is the truth.
