This is the one class I really wish had a textbook for because her course materials are VERY disorganized and important material is hidden in extremely lengthy powerpoints presentations. Also, her exams are convoluted and will make you go cross-eyed. Recommend staying as far away from this professor as possible; your time is better spent elsewhere.

Withers has been the worst professor i have had while at USD. She's a very condescending person, rude during office hours and tough grader. Also her exams are very tricky she'll throw you curve balls! Beware, if you can avoid her do it. I put in a lot of work in the class and ended up with "C".

Most likely one of the worst professors I've taken. Very condescending, grades extremely tough and expects you to become a professional based on material. Excruciatingly stressful, doesn't grade homework and tests every other week. DO NOT TAKE

DSCI is a terrible class, no matter who you take it with. Withers has definitely tried to redesign her class but it still sucks. She is super picky and condescending when you ask for help. However, I think she is retiring lol.

She has unbelievably high expectations of students. I consider myself very proficient in math and Excel and still have never worked harder for a Business class in my life. Her expectations are unclear, projects are verging on impossible, and she docks major points if you miss class, even if you have a very legitimate excuse.

DO NOT TAKE WITHERS. I wait up to 1.5 hrs trying to get into her office b/c she review tests/projects one at a time, and doesn't let you take your tests back. SLOW on grading - I've taken tests where we haven't recvd feedback on our assignments except the easiest ones, which don't help on tests at all. She's also a very condescending person.

She will literally tell you she won't help you on projects - she'll only tell you if you are right or wrong. Goes over relatively easy problems in class, then drops a far more difficult problem on you during projects and exams. When most of your class fails the first exam, there's a problem with the instruction. DO NOT TAKE HER!

Run. Seriously. Run. She will eat you up and spit you out. She resembles a Navy Seal Drill Seargeant. You go into her office hours for help, she yells at you if you don't immediately understand. She badgers you, doesn't assign any homework problems that will help on the tests. The ones she does give you are way to easy. RUN!!!

The course consists of 3 exams and 3 group projects. The projects are on harder material that is not yet covered, and you're expected to be able to somehow know how to do it. Basically, it comes down to luck if someone in your group gets it or not. She's a tough grader and slow at it. Hardest class, most workeffort, and worst grade. DONT TAKE HER!

This is by far the absolute worst class that I've ever taken. I can't believe she is even allowed to teach. If you ask her questions, you will get the most vague and condescending response. This class is time consuming and pointless and will kill your GPA. I wish I would have listened to the reviews that I read before taking her class. DO NOT TAKE.

Withers is not a very nice professor, she talks down to students and seems disappointed when students come to office hours. However, her class is not hard. Business students at USD are used to such easy classes that when they take a medium difficulty class they freak out. I found this class easy, but she is very unclear about what she wants.

Worst teacher I've ever had in all my life including k- my senior year in college. I went to office hours to ask for help and she literally refused to help me. Students can prepare and thoroughly understand concepts and still fail tests because of impossible expectations from them and problems presented that have never been seen. She's cynical.

I learned absolutely nothing useful to the real business world in class- considering we didn't touch excel once and did tedious exercises that took hours ALL BY HAND... in 2014!! 100% on first test to 30% on final

This is the worst teacher at USD, and how the school has kept her a professor I have no idea. She reports everything to the disciplinary board. If you try to get help on HW she says you have cheated, she expects you to know how do to everything yet, she doesn't teach the material. GET RID OF WITHERS! PLEASE

She told us the first day we had to learn how to use excel, but laptops aren't allowed in class and she teaches how to solve everything by hand and never teaches how to use excel. She also is super inflexible and should cut out content instead of trying to overload each class period. She also complains a bunch about things only she controls.

This woman is evil. I did just fine in the class and got As on almost everything. It was tough, but I learned NOTHING from her. Not only can she not teach but she is just straight up mean. She is so condescending to everyone, especially when you ask questions. Worst professor at USD hands down

She's a very mean and moody person. Though she knows the materials very well, she doesn't know how to explain stuff clearly, a lot of explanations or examples she gave are just BS. And she's really bad at time management, she just has to let us do a quiz in each class even when there's no time for answering questions.
