Comment:
Baron still uses overhead projectors with notes that are not helpful or clear. There is no textbook, so you must read difficult passages and try to follow along with what she has to say about them. The course is overall pretty unorganized and I would recommend trying to find another professor if you must take this course.

Comment:
Prof Baron is a professor who doesn't believe in technology so don't think about bringing your laptop to class. She lectures without powerpoint or any technological assistance. You take notes based on what you find important of what she says. Tons of pop quizzes, and she is VERY hard to schedule office hours with or get in contact.

Comment:
Took her Philosophy of Law class and really loved it. While she didn't use a lot of modern teaching devices (i.e. as noted: powerpoints, laptops, etc.), she still made the lectures very interesting, got the room involved, and explained in detail points we didn't quickly grasp. Also, the assignments were very helpful.

Comment:
In her, Philosophy of Law, we covered bits from Aristotle, Mill, Delvin, Nussbaum, and even some of her own work, which is highly regarded in her field. IU is lucky to have her. Her lectures are hard to follow; she comes off as disorganized. She structures the following class on how the current one ended, which is good. Very compassionate, however.

Hard to follow, and she doesn't like people having laptops in class. Which is dumb.

This class seems to get better as it goes on. She can be very frustrating, but it's a pretty easy class.
