Professor Haworth makes it crystal clear what you need to do to get an A in the class. Go to class, as his exam questions come directly from in class material. Go to office hours, as he gives you the answers to homework and appreciates your effort. Exams take every bit of an hour and fifteen minutes, but it's a manageable class.

His lectures are often pretty engaging, and they are absolutely essential to succeed in this course. His exams are based mostly off lecture notes and online homework, and I never used the book. The pop quizzes tend to be fairly easy to get full credit for. Practice the problems, ask questions, and go to office hours to maximize chances of success.

Here's the thing, Barry taught half of every concept in his lectures and restricted all additional material to those who were able to see him in his office hours - telling those students not to share with anyone else. He's presumptuous, egotistic, and arrogant, and he shows no understanding for others' situations

Haworth is the best professor I've taken at U of L. He is a great teacher because he makes his lectures interesting and is extremely funny. His tests are hard, and he gives a couple quizzes. However, he gives homework that he will help you with before you turn it in. He also will bump you up a letter grade if you show him you're a hard worker.

Hard class but great professor. He really knows his Econ but attendance is necessary. 4 homeworks and 6 quizzes for extra points. The two midterms and finals make up most of your points. If you attend class regularly he does as much as he can to make sure youre ready for the tests and is friendly toward your grades.

Honestly, not a fan of his personality and his voice puts me to sleep but he knows what he's talking about, he schedules extra office hours around tests and homework, and the class is curved. Would take again.

Attendance isnt mandatory, but is recommended that you show up. For short answers, most of the points come from knowing the concept behind the problem, not the mathematical answer.

Go to class and do the homework and you will do well on the exams. If you have questions, ask. He does a great job explaining the concepts. The short answer section of the exams comes straight from the homework.

Barry is a great guy. Attendance is not mandatory but will work in your favor if you attend. There are six pop quizzes, four homework assignments, two midterms, and one final. Be prepared to pay full attention and seek help when you fall behind. He is very flexible with his office hours and provides help to those who show sufficient effort.

Very funny guy. Made lectures entertaining. The subject was a lot harder than I expected but he sets up the class in such a way that even if you struggle during the semester, you have a chance at redemption at the end. Super available with his office hours although I was never able to attend.

Professor Barry spends the full hour lecturing, but is always available to help during office hours. He will help, but only to the extent of the effort you put in. He is a tough teacher, but will give you the guidance to succeed. His tests are hard as evidenced by an 85 being an A in the class. He incorporates good humor and real life into lectures

I thought he was a really good professor when it came to lectures and providing outside help to students that asked for it but I think the material goes over a lot of peoples heads and he expects a lot from students. The tests were impossible.. thats why in his class a 50 was still a C. For a non-Econ major I would not suggest taking his class.

Prof. Haworth saved my Econ grade. He was extremely helpful. Very responsiveness to emails, very clear, and has super helpful office hours! Study the homework for tests! Would highly recommend - great professor for a difficult course. Also he is funny.

I enjoyed taking this class, his lectures are interesting but the exams are very difficult. There is a generous curve, but the class is still very hard. Plus, there are only 2 tests and a final that's worth 40 or 60% of your grade, so if you mess that up, you're screwed.

He is a great teacher. You will learn lot if you are willing to learn. He responds very quickly to your emails if you have any questions. He inspired me to major in economics because i received A's in both Econ 201,202 but 302 made me regret my decision again. Ended up majoring in Finance but still have things from Barry's class I need today!

Mr. Haworth is one of the best teachers/professors I have ever had. With that being said, if you don't like putting forth individual effort this is not the class for you. However, if you go to class, do the homework, do the practice exams, study, and attend his office hours, you can do it. He does take notice of your effort.

Want to take the hardest business class imaginable? Take Haworth. He uses two whiteboards and runs between both of them losing you in-between. He is very unclear about his examples and cannot stay on one topic. Expect the hardest test of your life. Test consist of multiple choice and short answer, but both are designed to be as hard as possible.
