I was sorry to hear of Dr. Sapolsy's passing. He was a great professor and mentor, besides being a fine human being, period.

Not an easy class but definitely not the hardest I've ever taken. If you really know the slides, you'll be fine on the test, book isn't really necessary in my opinion. He has a really good sense of humor and is willing to help a lot.

Relies heavily on powerpoint presentations... and then complains about how bad powerpoint is. He's boring and makes the class unnecessarily difficult. The way he takes attendance is screwy, too :/

Dr. Sapolsky is the hardest professor I've ever had. From beginning to end, this class will consume your life, including your free time. Never get behind. Never slow down...or you will be run over by this class. Getting an A is nearly impossible, but it can be done. Take advantage of Dr. Sapolsky's advice. He is the only avenue to success in ADV450

Worst Professor ever. Rambles on about nothing, but expects the world from you. The entire class is based on a group project. Doesn't really tell you what he wants so you go in circles trying to figure it out. Don't expect to learn much with him, but if PR/AD major you'll have to stick it out.

I went to FSU in the mid 1980s. I distinctly remember Dr. Sapolsky as one of the three best teachers that I had back then. A good natured person... Glad to hear he's still teaching. NB

He really knows his stuff, but knowing a lot doesn't make you a good teacher. He needs to learn to relate better to the students.

The material is not too interesting, but Dr.Sapolsky tries very hard to make it as clear as possible. He is a good teacher. Very dad-like.
