Schlenker is great! He's very intelligent and personable. The lecture portion of this course was interesting and fairly easy (if you go to class). The lab portion may have cost me my grade, though, because the TA was very awkward and lazy and obviously hates teaching.

signed up for this class b/c i thought it would be interesting. though the info presented in the book and lecture is interesting, the 3 papers for the class are the killer. schlenker might be easy in lower level classes but his lab takes a lot of time and effort to get the grade you really deserve. you cant coast through class but still interesting

Prof. Shlenker is extremely passionate about the subject. He clarifies all the information and is EXTREMELY specific about what his tests will be like. Lectures can get a little boring, but he tries to keep things intereting with relevant cartoons and pictures. Only grades are 3 tests and if you study and read the notes an A is definately doable

Shlenker is a really nice guy, well spoken, very intelligent. However, look out for him in the higher level classes. He may be easy in sop 3004, but tends to expect a lot more in 4000-level classes. He expects perfect attendance, NO EXCUSES for late papers, missing exams, etc. Lecture notes are great, but read the book and PAY ATTENTION in class

Comment:
Great teacher! He managed to make the large class for social psych seem small enough to have great discussions. Ditto for the lab, the papers are killer but it's the most I've ever gotten from a psych class. I'm now working in his research lab and he's also a great mentor!

Awesome teacher, as long as you go to class and take notes you'll easily make a B on the exams. If you read some of the chapters in the book you are bound to make an A or higher.
