Barry is hands down my favourite prof at GBC. He is respectful and full of valuable experience and knowledge, he teaches you in a way that studying isn't even necessary. He gives great feedback on assignments and is always willing to help. He also helps with resumes and the job hunt for any students in their last semester. THE BEST!!!!

Barry is an amazing teacher. He is brilliant and it clearly shows in his lectures. His classes are not easy, good attendance is important and you really need to know the material. His tests are really solid but hard, heavy on application questions, MC and short answer. He asks that you put your cell away during class - totally understandable.

He is a good teacher but doesn't post notes so you have to come to class (on time + cell phones away).People are saying he is arrogant/rude but I found him nice and an easy marker. He let me redo a paper to get a better mark, really appreciated the second chance.

I decided to leave a comment because I do not agree with the negative comments people left. I do see how people can think he is rude, but it you have your cell phone out during class and he asks you to put it away that's not rude. He let me re-do a paper which I really appreciated. I like him!

Barry is an awesome prof! The best I ever had at GBC. He really knows his stuff, and he makes it easy for his students to understand - uses TONS of examples. He's honestly top notch. He's a pretty cool guy.

I don't get why people here say he is rude/hard marker blah blah. He is a smart speaker who knows his materials and how to teach effectively. He is VERY fair and helpful, just has absolutely zero tolerance to cheaters or cellphone use in class - so, just grow up and don't use your phone. FB can wait a couple of hours until the lecture is done.

Barry may come across as arrogant and rude however the majority of George Brown students are morons. You will learn alot from this professor and will actually enjoy going to his class in comparison to the rest of the boring classes that are mandatory to us. Arrive on time and attend all classes. Looking forward to another semester with Barry!!!

Many people think his tests are difficult--but its college people!!! crack a book! He is the only teacher I have ever had that actually tries to make class interesting by taking us on field trips and invited guest speakers to the class. Do the work and study and you will get a good mark.
