You have to show up to Bart's class to pass. There are no ppt, just him speaking. Can't record him. Other people's notes aren't as helpful as getting the info from him. I always looked forward to class because of his blunt comedy and presentation controversial material in non biased way. He asks you to type up your test answers, turn them in ONTIME

Comment:

Bart is one of, if not the best professor at AC but your mileage may vary. He decides very quickly with students whether he likes you or not, and once he's made his judgement you can really can't change his mind. If you earn his respect then you'll find he is a genuinely noble and inspiring person who really understands what students want and need

Comment:

One of the best professors at AC. He operates on a strict creed of mutual respect which in fact makes him very noble. At the same time, it also means he won't like you at all if you're not a committed student. Worth noting that tests are unlike other professor's tests and very difficult. You really have to get use to his class, but very rewarding.

Bart is one of the best professors at Austin College. He cares about his students,and if you put in the work, Bart respects that. You will get the most out of his class if you listen and actively participate. He is almost always available outside of class if you have questions. Bart Dredge is the single most helpful professor at Austin college. No one better prepares students for the real world. While attendance is imperative for a good grade, you won't want to miss his original thought-out lectures that make you question the world around you. Some classes you take just to check off a breath requirement... This isn't one.

Only two tests, so have to do good on those. Must come to every lecture bc tests are on those. No homework. Failed first test and did better on the next. Very tough grader on the first one so study hard! Very chill guy, usually rags on people in class! Hates when people are late. Don't be LATE! Lectures go long. He jus talks and talks, but listen!

He is a VERY helpful professor and mentor. He will do anything he can to help you. He will reply to all of your emails immediately unless he is in class. Do not take this class if you're looking for a class to cut corners. His techniques are designed to find those people and fail them.

BEST professor and incredible mentor. He likes to challenge his students and help them better themselves even if it is going to be a lot of work its worth it. His lectures are interesting, but if you like to goof off in this class I strongly recommend not to bc he will kick you out and call you out.take his classes!!!

Greatest professor at Austin College. But, you must be willing to go to class and willing to learn. Be engaged. Don't go to class and expect entertainment (however once or twice a semester you will be entertained with a great story). Listen and do the best that you can. He'll test your will power and mind. He's a self-proclaimed Ahole, but one of the finest profs on campus. If you show interest, try hard, and participate in class you'll receive a decent grade. But his classes and methods are designed to fail students who cut corners and slack off. Basically, don't take him if you are looking for an easy, blowoff class. Otherwise, you will learn alot.

Sociology 101 was the most interesting class I've ever taken. All you have to do is take good notes and you'll get an A, easily. He hates people coming in late though and probably wont let you in. Just show up on time! He has you read books that he'll ask on the final, but I got 5 pnts from showing up to every class & didnt bother reading..got an A
