You won't learn a thing from the lectures so just read the textbook because he makes everything way more confusing than it has to be. He is a very nice, understanding guy though.

This class is based on 2 quizes & 2 exams. Prof. Moore lectures the entire time, which can get boring, but is very thorough when explaining concepts. Tests are easy to study for as he posts the midterm and final from past semester. Not impossible to get an A, but you definitely have to work for it! Would recommend.

Prof. Moore's class is difficult, but only because of the material. He is always open to re-explaining lessons to keep good pace with students. Lectures can get boring, but they are very informative. Two quizzes and two tests toward the final grade - most people do pretty poorly on them, but he grades on a curve. Recognizes hard effort.

Professor Moore is an amazing economics professor. Although I found the course to be rather challenging, it is possible to make it out of there with a good grade. Don't take this class unless you really like economics and are prepared to study a lot for his exams. You will actually learn a lot in this class. Overall, I am glad I took this class.

He's a really caring professor and I was initially worried about taking his class as econ isn't my strongest suit, but doing the assigned HW questions and the past midterm will really help. He's very fair and while attendance isn't mandatory, you take about 2 to 3 pages of notes every class so I wouldn't recommend skipping.

I strongly recommend Bart Moore if you have a passion for economics. He is very detailed an interesting in his lectures. There is no participation or attendance grade, so everything comes down to the tests and quizzes. Luckily, these tests are not too difficult, but they require a degree of effort.

Very clear and detailed lectures -- be prepared to take lots of notes. Never ends class even a minute early. 2 quizzes, 8 questions each. Midterm and noncumulative final. No calculators ever. Quizzes and exams are rather challenging. Look at the old midterm on Ares when you're preparing. He's very tough on cheating -- it's not worth trying.

Bart is a very smart guy that knows his stuff.. he just can't get it into a clear enough way to teach it to his students. Going to class is pointless because he quizes and tests on stuff in the book, which of course he makes unclear during his lectures. The book and practice problems are the only useful things in his class. I would not recommend.

Prof. Moore presents really thorough lectures, which are the basis for all exams and quizzes. He grades fairly and his tests aren't there to trip you up, but they are widely regarded as very difficult. If you put in multiple hours of studying for each assessment, you'll be fine. Getting an A here isn't impossible, but it's a challenge.

Notes are pointless. Just read book. He makes everything more difficult than it needs to be. He finds a way to make a 1 sentence answer into a page.

Dr. Moore is an amazing prof. He knows is stuff. If you have a high interest level in macroeconomics/monetary economics then he is the guy to learn from. He was also my dissertation mentor and I couldn't have been happier. His classes are challenging but if you are up to the task then you can benefit greatly from his knowledge and expertise.

Moore really is a crazy smart guy, and does his best to explain a lot of the material, but keep in mind he is very math intensive and you will need to do a good amount of preparation to get an A on his tests. Very fair grader.

Expect to work hard in and out of class. Excellent teacher who is well-prepared, but will move through (difficult) material very quickly. Heavy math. You will need to practice heavily to prepare for exams.

I don't agree with comments that criticize Dr. Moore for making you teach some things yourself. You aren't supposed to be given everything on a golden platter. He asked you to try to do your best and he was always available to work through the problems with you during his office hours. I think that's a great skill he was teaching us.

Moore is a great and sometimes funny guy but teaching this course is the worst move he could have made. He is the worst professor you can take for Macro analysis. Attending class is pointless so you are better off taking any other professor. If you take Moore be prepared to teach yourself. Two quizzes, 1 midterm and 1 final.

One of the more interesting classes I had at Fordham but the test were excessivly confusing for the ammount of time he gave. I guess its just how he separated people when it came time to grading. Got a B which hurt my GPA but thats my fault for not making the effort. Prep for how his tests are written and you could get a decent grade(if your smart)
