Ex-air force officer that stuggles with the "I'm so cool" complex. He seems encouraging but he always tells stories about his star students and seems to always be looking for his next star...and you're not it. He is pretty harsh for emotional people so be direct when speaking to him. Good Luck w/ FB

laid back. approachable. interesting lectures. easy for coding classes (eg, cs 274, 303, 432), harder for theory classes. his strengths are in theory rather than coding in a specific language. takes a mentor attitude toward any student who shows effort.

Tends to go off onto side tangents, but they're funny ones. Gives lots of code samples for you to work with and is pretty good at explaining what each line means if you don't understand.

Good teacher, tries to relate to students. Would be more helpful if his samples of computer courses would actually work when you typed them in. Debugging the professor's code doesnt vote for confidence.
