Great prof! His lectures are a bit dry, but he is very informative. I find myself zoning out a few times in class because of his monotonous voice, so I usually take notes through the audio recording of his lectures. He teaches very thoroughly and makes sure you understand the material. I recommend this prof to those who work hard for their grade

Really nice prof that tries to make everything easy to understand. Lectures are necessary because the notes aren't complete and listening in will help for exams. Exams are very fair and merely studying from the notes is enough to get a good mark (so long as you can apply the material). Great prof all in all!

I'm an English Major & am not too "sciency". However, taking this course really boosted my interest in biology. Roitberg is a good teacher & his lectures are easy to understand and are very concise. He teaches off ppt slides which are accessible to students as a print-out. TA's are so helpful & the Lab instructor was awesome. txt book not needed.

Bernie is a great prof! This course was hard because I didn't know what to study, its definitely not a memorize kind of course. He's great and more than willing to help you out. Ask questions and get direction on any assignments!

worst notes. intro to bio course taught like its a 400 level course. seriously crazy test:its not about whether or not u remember what he teaches. its about whether or not u are able to analyze stuff and design experiments based on what u learn. everyone does bad and NO CURVE! and VERY tough grading
