If you are in the biotechnology major like I was you are so lucky. Bea is a wonderful teacher and caring person. The skills and knowledge she taught in all the biotech classes prepared me well for a future career. As long as you put in the work youll get an A. Shes always willing to help/reschedule stuff for you. I personally will miss her a lot

416 - two easy exams (1 pg) based on lecture and a group presentation that lasts the second half of the semester. very easy. 489 - two lecture exams (easy, right off the lecture slides) and one lab exam (based on the experiments). lab is simple, lab reports are 1 page long. she is very helpful and really wants her students to do well.

Dr. Sirakaya is a decent professor. She can be confusing at times, but she is more than willing to help and is very friendly/easy to talk to. Her lectures are not terribly long and are easy to access through her course page. The tests are not difficult so long as you put time in to study.

Beatrice is great. She's always willing to help you whenever you come to her. She has a lot of experience in the field and time in class goes by fast. Also, the lab reports are easy because she wants you to know only what really matters. Sometimes she confuses me with her explanations in the lab but you just have to ask her again, she's nice.

very nice, very helpful, and she really knows her stuff when it comes to the biotech industry! everything is straightforward and you'll leave the class having learned way more than expected. she's by far my favorite science professor. the only thing you need to watch out for is her sarcasm.. she's pretty funny!

So easy. Just go and study the terms she sends out on the outlines. Take it so easy. Although it is very boring ... very very boring. And she drops the lowest test grade so easy.

This was the easiest gen ed I ever took. The grade is based on 5 exams, but you get to drop one. Make flashcards - the entire test is pretty much straight definitions. You end up studying about 30 min per test and get an A. Plus she gives extra credit.

Keep in mind, that my rating is bias because I am an English major and hate sciences. My roommate is good in sciences and the class was easy and a breeze for her. I managed, although it was painful for me. The course is based on exams only, they aren't bad if you study. She offers extra credit too. She's not the best lecturer-prepare to self teach.

She assumes everyone knows a lot going into the class, and doesnt explain things well at all. She explains things out of order and goes in circles. Class is SO boring. She seems like a really nice person but she really can not teach.

I loved her. The students need to do their job. She's the most interesting, caring, intelligent, Beautiful, nice, Smart Swiss one would ever meet. Her knowledge is excellent. She loves cats and horses. Ask her whether she still likes her professor ex-Husband (Dr. AJay D'Angelo Sirakaya) at Texas A&M -a wonderful Turkish man:-).

Use the study guides when reviewing for a test. At first I just went over the notes in class and I got a C. When I made flash cards out of the study guide I got 100%. (Along with almost a dozen other people) She gave everyone 10 bonus points just for answering questions.
