Comment:
There's a lot of work involved in her classes, but she's not a super strict grader. As long as you can demonstrate that you are able to think about the issues at hand conceptually and apply those elements, you'll do fine. Doing your readings (and there's quite a bit) will be your saving grace. If you don't want to read, avoid her classes.

Wallace is a good teacher with an interesting course. Make sure to read the text. Tests are not so much what the right answer is as to what you think her opinion is. Get to know her and you will do well. Also quizzes are easy. Easy class for a B or A.

Dr. Wallace is absolutely amazing no matter what anyone else says---I've never had such a great professor. Definitely take her if you can; the class is pretty easy if you study hard like you should. She is really funny and the class is really interesting and fun, hope to have her again!

her class is unelightening, unwelcoming, and unstimulating. intellectually, a very limited environment. she is mildly aggressive, and you can see the anger rise up in her when she talks about racial issues. she preaches that one should suppress emotion and focus on intellect, when she is overly emotional herself-> unprofessional. self righteous.

a good teacher, but she is VERY strong in her beliefs so be careful what you say...she may take it the wrong way. Also, when you ask her a question about something, she will sometimes talk forever about nothingness...but she is a great teacher and i would definitely take her again.
