This class kind of felt like a waste. We didn't do all that much other than discuss the readings, which you can easily get by without reading. There are four homework assignments, which can be difficult but which aren't graded harshly. I liked him, but can't say I found the class all that exciting.

the material in this class was hard! i wd rec it to linguistics and similar majors. He is a great teachr however. He explains the material well, and is very organized. his assignments are challenging but there are no tests, and he gives good feedback. very helpful in & out of class. One of the BEST linguistics teachers inthe dept.

Very talented young professor with great sense of humour. Very high level class but that's just because the topics he covers are very complicated. You gain lots of new ideas from him. You'll know what's good about learning from a young and active professor.
