I thought he was hilarious! some people get offended by his dirty humor but it makes the class more enjoyable! :-) as long as you do your homework and keep your mouth shut during class and he'll like you...he's not as bad as everyone makes him out to be!

funny prof, didn't mind going but thats because speeches are interesting too. Besides that he grades speeches way too hard. Barack Obama couldn't get an A on a speech in this class. That is unless you go to office hours and practice the speech with him. Or unless your a good looking girl. Take this with someone else, it isn't worth it.

I had him for public speaking and went into the class dredding it but his enthusiasm and knowledge of the subject made me interested. which I would say is a sign of a great teacher. others have said he is rude, I just did not take it personal so it did not bother me at all. some people just need to grow thicker skin. ask him about bill cosby.

Old dude, a little dirty but pretty funny with jokes and what not. He'll bash you if he does not agree with something you said, don't take it personally. He is pretty strict while grading speeches, because he notices every mistake, but i walked away with a B...by the way in a speech never say "like," "stuff," or swear at all

Sevitch is really funny and is pretty interesting. Listening to everybody's speeches is fun. The exams are difficult, must study and read. Takes attendance everyday. if you have perfect attendance grade bumped up a level. 3 abscences only though

Comm 301 is not an easy course, a couple sections can be difficult. His tests are not hard, he does not try to trick you; he also gives study guides. He can be a little harsh but its always in good fun. If your offended and you tell him, he will apologize. Really fun class, classmates were cool. overall i would take him again.

He's an excellant prof. The two exams are only 10% each for the grade and he curves them because most of the matter is from the book which he doesn't go over in class too much. Classes are worthwhile. He takes attendance every class and you get extra points if you're there everyday. Not the nicest guy but a good prof. You'll learn a lot

Central needs more profs like Sevitch! He tells it how it is and doesn't sugar coat anything. Fair grader, available for help after class. Go to his office hours and show him you care and you will get a good grade. He teaches you a lot about life and preparing yourself for the professional world, something the majority of profs here don't do!

A little rough around the edges. Dont take anything to heart. Go to his office. Even if it's just to talk he will respect you more. Get help on the paper through all the stages. He gives you the questions to the tests prior to it and they are word for word. Grade goes up with perfect attendance. I'd take him again in a heartbeat.

He's not cuddly, he'll tell you that right off. I can see why some people have a problem with his jokes, but if you're not easily offended, he's alright. He's an unfair grader, extremely tough on attendance, etc. But if you want to learn something & don't care about your grade, he's the perfect teacher. If you care about your grade, STAY AWAY.

He is rude and inappropriate. He makes sexual jokes constantly, annoucing things about himself that everyone would rather never know. He makes fun of students and always has to one-up everyone or call their questions "stupid" and I think he should be avoided at all costs. His grading is also way too harsh.
