Very intelligent but rambles on and loses students as he has trouble conveying what he thinks. Can be rude and condescending, but maybe he doesn't realize it since he seems out of it and drools on himself. Has an advanced understanding of mathematics, just has trouble conveying ideas.

Hands down, the worst professor on this entire campus. Cannot teach whatsoever. He mumbles, scribbles, and drools all over himself. His exams do not relate to his lecture notes (which suck), to the homework, or the textbook. In addition to being a horrible professor, he is also rude and condescending. He makes fun of students and calls them stupid.

Terrible teacher, cannot explain the concepts of the class, will make fun of people who try to ask questions or answer his questions and get them wrong. Class is useless but necessary to attend because he takes attendance sporadically.

I cannot remember the course numbers but I was a math major and had him for several classes. Including several actuarial exam prep classes. DO NOT EVEN bother with those, they dont help at all. He has the students teach so he can be lazy and do nothing. We did not even cover half the exam syllabus. He rolls his eyes and makes fun of students.

Horrible teacher, laughs at students if they ask stupid questions, I have no idea why he is still a teacher at Lehigh. What a useless person, and sad excuse for a teacher. DO NOT TAKE HIM.

One of the worst professors I have had. He does not explain the concepts, instead he spends the whole lecture explaining the theories behind them which have no use. He wants kids to raise their hands but is rude and embarrasses them if their answers are incorrect. If you can learn math from a txt book this is your class, if not avoid at all costs.

Prof. Eisenberg has the rarely found talent for explaining an otherwise really abstract material in simple, yet mathematically rigorous, terms. It is not a course to be taken lightly though, and you quickly learn to come prepared to the class/do your homework thanks to the random quizes, so plan to devote enough time to the course.

Be warned, he sometimes mumbles and doesn't finish his sentences. In a small room it's not so bad though. Attendance isn't checked and homework isn't collected but there are 5 quizzes (1 dropped), so do your homework. Class is rather generously curved in the end, so keep up with the work and you'll be fine.

Biostatistics with Professor Eisenberg- worst class I've taken in three years at Lehigh. His communication skills are nonexistent, his enthusiasm for the course flaccid, and his helpfulness would be overshadowed by a D middle school biology student at a meeting of the AAAS. The course itself is fairly interesting, but take it with another professor

Has a very hard time communicating. Spends the entire class facing the board and doesn't know how to answer questions. Try to take a different stat class if you can or if you are required to take this class, pray its with a different professor

I could say alot about this guy. I took ap stats in high school and so the class was pretty easy, however, if you haven't taken stats, eisenberg is horrible. Rambles on. He has very suspect hygiene habits (chalk and sweat). I have heard though he's much better in the other math courses, don't take stats with him unless you have to.

I am a business major who is terrible at math; however my Math 31 prof my 1st year sparked my interest in math, and I have been taking math courses here ever since. Prof. Eisenberg teaches an EXTREMELY challenging course, but he is incredibly fair (moreso than I deserved) in his grading procedures. I learned a tremendous amount.

He's very good. I've never witnessed him mumbling and stumbling over himself like some people are mentioning. Maybe its because we were in a small room..? Helpful in office hours. Moves really fast, but covers a lot of good material. Brought so many interesting and helpful examples every day to class. Really made me enjoy the subject.

This guy is just too fun. He puts so many new views on probability and comes up with the most mind-bending examples. It's like being in third grade all over again in Talented And Gifted at a college level. This guy stresses creativity over simply sticking your nose in a book, and can make grad students look like idiots. Great professor. Ilya ^_

This class is a nightmare, take it with any other professor and you will save yourself lots of grief. He understands the concepts but cannot communicate the lessons it seems. Unless you like teaching yourself from a textbook, sign up for a different professor and be sure to attend recitation. It should be noted that I am not good at math anyway.

class is pretty easy if you do the homework. eisenberg is nice and usually you just feel bad for him because he cant really speak but its funny sometimes. recitation is absolutely unnecessary.
