Avoid taking him at all costs. It is literally impossible to pay attention, let alone understand any of his lectures. He takes points off for whatever he can even if it's a tenth of a point. All of your questions are stupid questions, if he even understands what you're asking. Really, do not take him.

brennan is literally the worst professor ive ever had. he sucks at teaching chemistry and he is a grumpy old man that likes to make school harder than it is. his labs are the most boring thing i have ever had to sit through in my whole life. avoid taking his class at all costs.

He is the hardest teacher i have had in awhile. Very strict grader that loves to strip points off your set-ups. Very boring lecturer; even worse in lab. Gives typed notes (good for spacing out, bad for learning). Expect to rely heavily on the textbook. Hard teacher. I hated him, but I am sure his strict demeanor is rewarding for new chem students

I was only in Dr. Brennan's lab, but I thought he was fantastic. He was incredibly clear in how he explained everything and really interesting to talk to. Having him for lab also helped me understand the material we were studying in lecture better.

This class was by far the hardest class I've had to date. He grades very strictly and expects alot from people who have never taken chemistry before. On the pluss side, when you survive his class you will have a much better chance of succeeding and excelling in college. He also is extreamly dedicated to his students. Take advantage of office hours.

This is only about the lab b/c I didn't have his lecture, but I think he is really nice and he tries to help you if you ask for it. The actual labs themselves are very easy, and if you just do the prelabs and SHOW UP to all labs, you'll do great! People end up doing poorly when they miss labs. I just don't get why they don't show up. Tisk, tisk.

The man is damn near impossible to understand. He gets frustrated with Chem 101 because it is so simple for him. But he grades VERY hard and outright rejects slackers from anything. I really didn't enjoy him at all and I don't recommend him for anyone who is new to Chemistry and never took it before like me.

Dr. Brennan was one of the hardest professors I have ever had in my college career. I did not pass his CHEM 155 class, BUT, I did learn a level of academic excellence that is unsurpassed. I have applied it to my other classes and my grades have improved by leaps and bounds. He is tough but he is fair, and he is dedicated to his students.

Horrible professor who seems to care little about his students. I'm a super motivated student, but even doing well on exams didn't seem to deter his personal wraith. He fails to accept that mistakes and accidents do happen, and that a student who might be coming in late has a valid excuse. Word to the wise- don't take his class unless you have to.

Brennan does not take kindly to slackers. He takes off points for every little thing, especially when it comes to sig figs. You really have to work in his class to succeed. His tests are really tricky, but fair. You will not get by if you don't study. He is really helpful if you go to see him in his office hours.

Brennan is a pretty hard teacher. He is not very interesting at all. He does give you copies of the lecture notes before lecture and that is quite helpful for studying for quizzes and exams. I was close to failing but i went out of my way to show him that i was qualified to pass and he passed me. Because of this, he is also fair. An honest teacher.
