Comment:
Wonderful professor. MATLAB assignments are a lot, but they actually helped me understood the materials better. Be ready to read the textbook because his lectures are not in-depth. His office hours are useful, and he posts lecture notes online

Read the book every week because his lectures are not very informative (simple but not a lot of content), and his MATLAB assignments are time consuming. His office hours are useful although he doesn't host many office hours.

I wouldn't say he's a terrible professor, but he's definitely not a good one. He's also very demanding, both on exams & HW. This class was challenging, but worth taking.

Any ECE professor is preferable to Levy. Difficult to understand in lecture. Textbook isn't great. Lectures and homework don't prepare you for the exams. If you want to do well in his classes, you will have to teach yourself.

Comment:
This professor is absolutely horrible. Lectures are very hard to follow because they are very unorganized, and he goes extremely fast. Warning, he set the class curve at a 'C'. Most EEC classes are curved at a 'B-', but not Levy.

This class is all about math, and Levy knows how to teach it well. Exams are kinda tough, decent curve though. His review sessions are very helpful.

When this guy writes, he blocks the entire board with his body. He lectures a lot on certain concepts, but doesn't test you too much on the details. Not exactly a good lecturer, not at least for circuits.

This professor is fair on homework and tests. I wish I could have understood him better at least half of the time. He is just too fast. I got a very good grade in his class and can't complain about that. I gave him a 5 on his evaluation. I went to his office once and he can seem rude. Maybe he is just genetically gifted in terms of brain speed

He writes way too fast. So fast that you can't take notes and pay attention so either you listen and have nothing to refer to later or you take notes and hope you can figure them out later. He doesn't care about whether students learn.

He teaches a variety of classes from engineering to circuits. He is difficult to understand in lecture and writes extremely fast. Test are also very challenging. However, for some reason, you do better than you think due to his easy grading scale.

His lecture is very organized and clear. He makes the class materials easy to undersatnd. Also, you can learn a lot form the homework and exams. The take-home midterm is difficult. Overall, he is a very good instructor for this class.

Tests were difficult (averages ~50%). Oftentimes, it felt as if i was learning new material on the test. He just has high standards of learning (he taught at Cal Tech). Not easy, but knows exactly what he's doing. Classes geared toward upper echelon.

Instead of spending time in class listening to his lecture, just go spend all ur time in programming. I cannot understand anything he says in class, any u know probably can speak better english than him.

Take him at your own risk. Perhaps he should consider teaching other courses, not Engineering.
