Bernie is honestly one of the best professors that you will have. He's an amazing teacher, has a ton of experience, and makes lectures fun and easy to follow. You do a lot of easy group projects in class that helps you get an easy A. He will strongly suggest buying a textbook, but if you take good notes, you don't need to buy one.

BERNIE IS THE BEST! If you get the opportunity to take him DO IT! He is very chill. You do most things in groups but they aren't hard at all. He answers emails within minutes and he makes the class very fun and interesting. You learn so much but you have fun doing it. If taking MM&S you can get extra credit for watching ELF. Everyone loves him!!!

Bernie is an amazing professor who I would recommend to every student on campus. He does do several group projects so if those aren't your thing beware but it's nothing too crazy. Only downside is he doesn't use Moodle to post grades but he's accessible enough (ESPECIALLY BY EMAIL) where if you're ever concerned you can find out your grade.

Very good professor. He's very funny and cares a lot about every student that takes his class. His lectures can be kinda boring, but he makes them very enjoyable. There are several group projects so make sure to sit with people you like/know will do work.

Dr. Ankney cares about his students and is a great teacher! Sure, he can be a little boring, but homework is light and his lectures are clear. His reviews mimic the tests and projects are easy. He's so kind and understanding and the chair of the department, so it's good to get to know him.

Bernie Ankney is one of the reasons I came to Samford. He's a very personable guy, and very helpful both in and out of class. Everytime I see him in the hall he greets me by name and asks how classes are going, etc. THE BEST department chair at Samford, hands down.

Awesome professor! He makes the class enjoyable and interesting the whole time you are there. The class was easy if you listen and take good notes. The best class and teacher I have had a Samford so far!! His test are easy and his class is fun if your talkative. He loves discussions!
