There is absolutely nothing good I can say about Mathys. He is by far one of the worst professors I have ever had. I stopped showing up to his classes with about 5 weeks left and still passed because the rest of the class that was still going learned absolutely nothing in that time. IF AT ALL POSSIBLE DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS, if you do, I'm sorry.

Great professor. Teaches the material like one of his upper level classes, but is very clear about the content. Makes the material seem very interesting. Tests are hard, but his grading is fair. Overall, probably the friendliest, most helpful professor you could ever have.

Loved him! Always prepared. You don't feel like you're getting a half-hearted attempt. He wants to do a good job, and he succeeds. He's concerned about the needs of his students and moves the homework due date if we have a test in another class. Labs are clear and straightforward. I highly recommend going to office hours.

Very nice person. Maybe I'm not interested in circuits enough. It is VERY VERY rare for me to learn anything in his class, which leads to me sleeping through at least 45mins of every class. Basically he just goes up to the board and runs through problems the whole class. Read the textbook and ask questions and you'll b fine.

[Majors] Run, run! Everything you've heard about him is true. He is incapable of explaining things to undergrads (just sit in on one of his classes - not 1200 - and you'll see what I mean). Easy to spend 10+hrs/week on labs and get nowhere. Too bad, he's a nice guy.
