I could imagine taking a course or two with this professor to supplement my non-physics major and be happy. After NINE COURSES with this professor, I haven't actually learned much of anything. The lectures are so dry, and the tests are no-brainers. I don't mind the GPA boost, but I wish he could provide actual learning opportunities.

I've had Popson for just about every class you can. He is a great guy, with a passion for helping the students, and if you come to him in person, he'll be more than happy to help you out. However, he can be a bit absent minded, and his notes often have mistakes. Just do your HW, study for the tests, and your should be fine

Comment:

Insanely simple classes. Out of any of the physics/math teachers Popson is my favorite. His classes are the easiest in the department. Very dry sense of humor but, I see it more as him just trying to be a "cool" teacher. Always available outside of class and willing to help you out. Tests come right from the homeworks just numbers changed.

Great teacher and advisor. If I had any questions, he would answer them. As expected, the exams are based off the homeworks. He's a nice guy to talk outside of school as well.
