I heard good things about Genny, so I chose her for Introduction to Poetry. I was disappointed. Genny's classes are repetitive, so much so that I found myself unengaged in a subject that I read for fun. She's also a tough grader, so I can't recommend her for slackers either.

I love Genny! I took her into to Shakespeare course. She leads a discussion based class and has a great sense of humor. She is very knowledgeable and her passion makes everyone get really into the class.

I took LGBTQ Lit with Genny. She's extremely passionate about the subject and uses a mix of texts and films in class. This class really opened my mind to LGBTQ criticism and presence in literature, but by the end of the class, I felt that discussions/lessons were becoming quite repetitive in nature.

Genny is such a great professor! Not only is she nice; Genny is also engaging, knowledgeable, and encouraging. Her assignments and grading are very reasonable. I feel that I learned an incredible amount in Intro to Shakespeare, which was awesome because the class was also really fun and entertaining. I highly recommend taking this class with Genny!

I absolutely ADORE Genny! So funny and very frank. She isn't afraid to talk about subjects that may be hard/sensitive to discuss yet are equally important, and she does so tactfully. She is helpful, understanding and patient. I felt comfortable around her and genuinely looked forward to class. Take a class with her! Shakespeare is her specialty.

Genny Love is flawless. She is a Shakespearean goddess sent to enlighten us in the English and film departments. Her passion for the subject is matched only by her knowledge of it and also her sense of fun and enjoyment that makes her classes what they are. Unmissable.

She did not really understand the text well, so her classes were extremely dull with a lot of silence. Not an effective teacher/same routine every day. Very nice, but not a good prof.

Extremely boring...She could not effectively lead class discussions. Lots of awkward pauses. She's one of those English professors that shows off how smart she is by reading WAY too much into the text. The homework assignments are poorly articulated and mostly don't contribute anything to the class. I'd skip this class if possible.
