I did not learn much from this class. She is always letting the students leave way early, gives you an assignment but does not really get deep into things. I got a B+ but till now I do no understand why since did not get much from that class. Little pretentious, always talking about "the Hamptons" (artists and houses) but who gives a damn ?

I am happy to say Professor Giles was one of the most memorable professors of the college....she is VERY gracious to talk to, she understands the college mindset, appreciates all types of artistic beauty and grotesquesness of things, and gives you the space and inspiration every student artist needs! I would love to be in her class again!

I do not understand the negativity within this comment list. She may be a bit flippant but I do not think she is pretentious and she is easy to get along with.

This is the most inconsistent, hard-headed, pretentious art teacher you will ever meet. only take her class if you are an ass-kisser and will do whatever she wants you to do to get an A. because that is what you will have to do, and i don't know many artists who are willing to do that.

Friendly and easy-going professor. She's a master printmaker so she knows what she's talking about. Very helpful and clear through demonstrations and has no problem re-explaining steps. Open to creativeness and ideas. Wonderful, helpful person :)

She is flaky and pretentious. Doesn't make herself clear, not open to new ideas, wants everything HER way or you fail. Don't try to be creative, you have to do it in a way in which she will like it.
