Ms. Betsy was awesome. She did use pictures from Google, but never complained if we asked her to specify what exactly she was wanting, or if we could see what she wanted on a model (she would pull out a model and show us). She was also very helpful with answering any questions we had from lecture, which we had a different teacher for.

Betsy is so awesome! I loved her lab! She was pretty straight forward. She's very helpful and will make sure you understand the material! As long as you do your part in studying the material you will do fine in her lab. I wish she taught BIO 225.

Betsy was AWESOME to have for lab!! I had a death in the family and had a hard semester and I honestly believe she felt pain for me! She is very passionate about her views and I love that about her! She was always willing to help and I stayed after many times to ask stupid questions when I had a hard time understanding something. LOVE HER!!!

I took bio 210 lab with Betsy Hogan so it is a very difficult class but as long as you go to every class she makes it easy she will stay late to help you one on one, she gives great examples to make things easy to remember and she makes you laugh the entire class.

Betsy was hilarious. She was very blunt at times but you knew what she expected. She incorporates models and pictures into the class , and even dumbed down things to make things easy for us to remember. If you don't study you wont do well, but its because the class itself is a lot of memorizing.

I dropped my A&P Course and lab because of Ms. Hogan. She was incredibly unprofessional and wasted our time with a bunch of unrelated stories about her life and a rant about how bad abortion is. She mimicked and made fun of past students who gave her bad reviews because of her poor picture quality. I complained to Trident, they didn't care at all.

This professor is not a true educator. It is obvious that she teaches because she is forced to. She is not clear and uses blurry pictures she gets off of google with lines everywhere for quizzes/exams and then gets angry if you ask for clarification. I was afraid to ask any questions because she was disrespectful if you had a question.

I enjoyed Betsy's class. She taught us the material in a way that I found was easy to remember. She always made herself and the lab models available to us, answered questions, was funny, and I could tell she really cares about her students. She did sometimes get off subject, but it was a welcome break between all the info we are expected to learn.

Took lab with her last semester. After having a different instructor for 211, I wouldn't recommend her. She sits down the whole class period, rambles about stuff that doesn't matter, and is unclear about what she's looking for. Uses pictures for practicals rather than models. If she's having a bad day you will know it. She's all over the place.

Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend her to anybody. Instead of using models for quizzes and lab practical's, she uses pictures, talks about irrelevant stuff during class, and doesn't seem interested in helping students.

Ms. Hogan is a great instructor. Her expectations are very clear. She presents material for all to understand as long as your paying attention. It's up to YOU to STUDY to do well...she can't take the exam for you!! I highly recommend her!

I have her for lab and I think she is a great teacher! Will do anything to make sure you understand the material. She uses her notes and book so read the chapters. She also goes online and finds helpful websites for the students to go on and practice the material.

If TTC is going to build and brand new building and pay thousands or more for new AP models than lab instructors should use them. Betsy used pictures for quizes while i sat next to the models. I would only go if i knew there was a quiz or for the practical exams. If she cut her personal life speaches in half than class would be an hour shorter.

Such a nice woman and a very good teacher. Extremely patient and happy to go over material multiple times until you ar comfortable with it. A little brash, yes, but that is just part of her style. Definitely want her to be my lab teacher for microbiology next semester.

I really like Betsy. This is my second lab with her, she has always been helpful and kind. She can be a bit moody, and appears a bit rough around the edges, but she will always go the extra 10 miles to help students.
