Her syllabus is pretty confusing and she is just as confusing when she lectures. She often lectures and realizes she does not know what she is talking about. The test are not very hard and attendance is not mandatory, but she does count attendance when people get up and leave during videos. 10/10 would not recommend this instructor.

She is funny, and a decent teacher overall. However, she is so unorganized and can confuse everyone by the way she explains things at time. Class is overall pretty easy besides the stuff on test that she never actually discussed.

While Maggio has enthusiasm and passion for teaching her class, you will learn that she is not organized whatsoever. She is all over the place, and does not remember what she did and did not teach. She says she "tests what she teaches," but there are always questions on the test that have not been covered in class and aren't in the textbook either.

I would never in a million years recommend her class. She is so scatter-brained and never remembers what she said the class before. She is also at least 20 minutes late every day and gets mad if you leave. She won't remember your name but somehow you get a grade on participation. Also she uses a 7-point grading scale in a dance class, so yeah.

I LOVE THIS LADY. I took Modern Dance from her and it will be one of my favorite memories I have from school! Modern Dance is offered every quarter and I think everyone at Tech should take this class! She is a little silly sometimes but we get stuff done and I really have learned a lot!

Mrs. Maggio is an amazing teacher. All you have to do is talk to her. She is very understanding. Also go to class because if she's never seen you before in her class and you try to talk to her... She isn't dumb and she knows faces. She is resonable. I have taken her for modern dance also. Love her

Ms. Maggio made dance appreciation way more fun than I expected. She uses a 7-point scale, and tests on names and details she emphasizes in class, so you definitely have to study for the tests and there will probably be one or two things on the test which she didn't mention in class. She is friendly and very understanding.

I would take any other appreciation course there is. Says she tests what she teaches, but does the exact opposite. Doesn't remember what she tells you and what she doesn't, never gives a straight answer to any question. Acts like you need your book but I didn't use it once. Grades on a different scale.

She is really nice and funny, but you never know what to study for the tests. She doesn't give a study guide or post notes. You have to go off of what she says in class and she is really scatter-brained. I expected this class to be a blow off but its not. The test are pretty hard because they are 80% T/F. I would take music appreciation instead.

Scatter brained, ADD, and all over the place. Tests do not reflect material covered in class, and its VERY HARD to follow anything she tries to teach. She uses a 6 point grading scale instead of 10, so its harder to make a good grade. No one even bothers to show up except for test day.

She needs to be medicated. She has a serious case of ADD (and I do not use that term loosely), loses tests all the time, goes on random tangents, but the class overall is not difficult. You do need to study, but not religiously. You need patience more than anything to make it through the course. Her head is always in a different world...

She's crazy, absolutely ridiculous. I'm sure she has ADD, but it probably goes much deeper than that. You think her class is easy, and that it will be an easy A but she doesn't even grade on a 10-point scale making the grades on your test not what they should be. Needless to say, you should have a lot of patience if you plan to take her class.

a little odd to say the least. well u can prob. miss a few classes every now and then because she seems like she's kinda in another world sometimes but nice at also. very random but i guess it was somewhat easy. just be ready to do a big dance performance thing for ur final grade. o and the test was a lot harder then the stuff we do in class!
