Hes honestly the best teacher ever! He literally spoon feeds you & solves every equation on the board. He hates people using their phones & will call you out. Also, dont get to his class late or leave in the middle of class. He starts teaching the second he gets to class & doesnt care if its 20 mins before the scheduled time. ALSO,HES HILARIOUS

He's the type of person who says something hilarious but you only occasionally pick up on it. Posts all his lectures online, so unless you understand what's on the powerpoints -- DON'T skip class. Will call you a genius if you point out something incorrect on the board. He was super nice, and really easy grader.

Doesn't explain his work when he teaches. Always makes mistakes and gets mad at students when we didn't catch his mistakes.

Prof. Nitica is an excellent professor. He's clear, intelligent, and will help you succeed if you truly care about success. I took precalc with another prof at first and failed, then received an A after taking it again with Prof. Nitica. Spend plenty of time in his office, he's a good man to have a conversation with.

Professor Nitica knows his stuff and teaches in a way that is simple and straight forward. No text book which he considers to be a waste of money - just lecture notes and handouts that correspond directly. He provides practice exams and holds review sessions. Show him that you understand the material, go to office hours and youll be straight

Absolutely one of the best teachers I've had so far at WCU. Explains the material very well and gives you many homework that help your grade. The tests are IDENTICAL to his practice exam (change of #'s). If you do what your supposed to, you will get an A!

There is a lot of homework in his class, but if you do it you will be prepared for the test. Professor Nitica is very straight forward and really teaches you the information. Sometimes his accent can be very thick, but you will get used to it fast. I would recommend anyone to take his class, but if you do not do the homework it will hurt you.

Clear, confident, and tough. Inspired me to work harder. Good prof to take if you actually care about learning. Didn't make me waste money on a textbook for this course (precalc). I would take him again.

Prof Nitica explains new material very well and makes it easy to understand. He does have a thick accent, but speaks good english. He gives LOTS of homework, but it's really for your own good. He gives practice tests that are just like the test itself. Making this class very doable even for those that struggle in math.

Professor Nitica is an excellent math professor. He tries to prepare you for exams by handing out study guides which are very similar to the exam. He assigns homework which is sometimes graded, but it is not difficult. He also offers extra credit problems at the end of class (time permitting). I would highly recommend taking his class.

The concepts in this class are not very interesting by nature. Nitica comes off as boring but warms up once you get to know him. He has a lot of dry humor and is pretty sarcastic. He does his best to make the concepts appealing. You have to do well on the tests to do well in the class.

You'll get used to his accent, but he's the best math teacher i have ever had. I took calc in high school and i didnt do well. His class was an easy A! I took him over a year ago and i still study/refer to his notes after transferring from WCU. He gives a lot of extra credit, almost every class, so i wouldnt skip class to miss out on that chance.

Nice guy. Accent isn't that bad. A little odd. It's possible (probable) I didn't take the class seriously enough, but I did horrible. His grading is what screwed me over (90% of the grade is 3 exams and the final, 10% HW), and his lectures are what he grades on, so the book isn't of much help. He's not bad if you already know Calc, which I did not.

Nitica is hands down the best professor I've ever had. He knows all of his students names and wants us to succeed. He doesn't count attendance but he notices and appreciates when you come to class. Class should be an easy A if you attend and do the homework. He is very helpful and will go over anything in class. Accent isn't bad at all

Gives a lot of homework but it is weighted very lightly so I never do it. Most helpful math teacher I have ever taken. He will do anything he can to help you get a good grade: office hours, email, or in class he is always there to help. Do his test review packets, they make live 1000 times easier. Amazing prof all around

Really good at explaining everything. Gives you so many resources (textbook, lectures, extra quizzes, review, answer keys, homeworks, etc.), so the only thing keeping you from a good grade is not doing the work. His accent is nothing to worry about, because he speaks English fluently. I've never had a single issue with his accent. Will take again.

MAT-443 is Applied Analysis at WCUPA. This course essentially covers topics in applied mathematics and partial differential equations. Took this in the summer, not an easy subject. Dr. Nitica is very reasonable and gave us replete notes. I find him to be a very thorough and considerate instructor. Grade was based on problem sets. Will take again.

I had him during the Spring of 2014, and I am not a math person. I ended up getting mostly As on the exams. Definitely study and do the homework in this course. Prof Nitica wants to see his students succeed, and gives tons of extra credit. Take advantage of his office hours; he is friendly and approachable.

Moves very quickly through material, takes a couple classes to get past his accent, and then you are already behind. First two tests aren't too bad but the third test has 12 full calculus questions and you'll be lucky if you finish over half. As far as learning the material, you'll know it by the end of the year, you just won't have a good grade.
