Her teaching style was not effective. I don't think she very knowledgeable on the topics that she's teaching. Heavy homework. There's a case study which is a group assignment due every week and she changed all the group around each week. Does not explain well all the requirements for the case. Tough grader.

This class is not easy! Homework almost every night that does count for points. Attendance is tallied at the end of the semester. Practice tests are nothing like actual tests. Know the problems from practices tests but 50% of the test is conceptual!! So know the concepts! Tons of essay questions on tests. I studied for a week ahead of the test.

Very spacey...doesn't do a good job of explaining things and tries to do too many things at once. Went to see her in her office one time and she wouldn't let me come in so I had to stand at the door and ask questions...very weird and not helpful.

Dr. Marshall is a really good professor, works examples, is enthusiastic, and keeps it interesting enough to pay attention. The class was really hard though, and no matter how hard I studied, I struggled on her tests. She allows a 'cheat sheet' for all her tests, which helps. I'd take her again, but not an easy A.

I've had Dr. M for both 5510 and 4510 and if she taught anything else I would take it! Dr. Marshall is a CPA so if you don't like accounting or have a hard time with it steer clear because thats how she approaches the material. She is extremely professional and she knows what she's talking about, be ready to work and you'll be rewarded!

She's a great teacher. She comes prepared, explains the material, and is more than willing to help if you need it. She's very fair, and her enthusiasm makes it a little easier to pay attention. Put in the work and you'll at least make a B. Take her!

If you're not good at accounting then you probably shouldn't be taking Financial Statement Analysis. That being said, Dr. Marshall is more than fair when grading and really cares about whether her students are learning. I went to class, listened, and made an A, its not that difficult! If you're interested in financial analysis take this class!

She makes calculation mistakes all the time while she is teaching, which can be a bad thing when you have been studying for a test for weeks and then she makes a correction 2 days before the test. She is a nice person and pretty hot but she just isn't a good teacher. Sorry bev

i really liked this class. i thought it was really interesting and i definitely learned a lot. i would recommend going to the classes because she explains things better than the book. the tests aren't too bad. the online quizzes and in-class work are really easy. you might have to study a little bit but because of it, you end up learning more

I didn't think it was possible for me to be interested in a business class like this, but I was. I learned a lot. You definitely need to do the work, and if you're not accounting-oriented, it's rough. She's really nice, too, and works with you on stuff.

People who don't like Dr.Marshall don't like her because they are too stupid to comprehend her material. I took her class and did well, but worked hard, and understood it. by the end of the semester people still couldn't work simple problems, idiots.

Great teacher. Very clear, very smart, very effective. I like how she doesn't waste time re-explaining the things people should already know. She moves at a good pace, and forces you to keep up. One of the best professors I've ever had.
