I took her online Marriage and Family class and let me just say that if you are looking for an easy ride or an easy A don't take her. She is fair but tough on her students. She doesn't give anyone second chances and doesn't bend the rules for any reason. I don't think she is a horrible person just not very nice.

Comment:

Definitely recommend her. Took her online Marriage and Family class and like her style. She clear on her expectations, very fair and realistic. I enjoyed the weekly quizzes, papers and discussion questions. Though mid-term and final exams are 100 questions and timed. Don't expect an easy ride, but not rocket science either.

Online class, does not return emails on time. each exam or qiuz or assignments takes 2 week minimum to be graded. so basically u dont know were u stand on ur knowledge on the class because it takes two weeks for a grade. she is also very rude.

I liked this instructor. She answered e-mails promptly, and the course was well organized. I always understood what was expected of me. She does require good grammar but this is college and should be expected by all professors. I would definitely recommend this professor and this class.

She act as though she is teaching English. She makes you write 3 (4 page) reports. I like to take all my classes on-line, but I found her class, and tests very difficult to follow and pass. I would not take her again.

This professor is completly preoccuoied with herself and therfore has little time for her students. The wording of her test is confusing. She can be quite rude and uncaring, and this from a sociologist. Do not take her class. I received and A but worked overtime for it.

She is just awful, I ended up having to have surgery, provided the proof and she still would not let me make up quizzes!!! VERY strict and not very helpful. She makes you feel like an idiot!!! If you have a choice take professor JOBE!!!!!

Took Marriage & Family online. My first writing assignment was graded in mid 60's. I almost died. But once I figured out what she was looking for, I did ok. She is not clear with her instructions. Ask questions and don't take offense to the response. It can only help yo in the class. Good Luck.

Professor Phillips has an amazing background and knowledge. She expects a lot from her students. If you are just getting the credit - don't take her. She makes you work for every grade! I liked her but it was very challenging.
