She s terribly unhelpful. Not once did her feedback have a positive outcome. She cannot explain her criteria and doesn't care about grading fairly. Also clams she will not grade on design just the program usage which is a flat-out lie. Do not take her unless you need to.

This professor doesn't take the time to get to know students and just assigns projects whenever she feels like it. She never gives feedback and doesn't start grading until after spring break. The class itself is super basic but she acts like shes teaching the most important subject. She is rude and seems to care more about her own designs.

She is the worst! Do not take this class!!! She can't describe or explain what she is looking for in your designs. She wants it one way and that is the only option.- otherwise it's no good. Bottom line is she can't teach! I expected to learn more about design, but we haven't learned a single thing. She is a total space case! Bottom line: Don't Take

I attended this class hoping to learn something in design that I hadn't already known. I learned essentially nothing in this class. In addition to this she was not helpful at all when i asked for criticism on my work and to top it all off she ended up giving me a bad grade despite her saying my work was good during class.

She's really nice and encourages creativity and that's where I think a lot of students fail. They want her to tell them EXACTLY what to create, but she wants to think on their own. Extremely fair grader and gives you the opportunity to redo any assignment you'd like at any time.

First day of class, she asked "Does everyone know what the desktop is? What IS the computer?" She treated us like elementary school kids, assigned seats and all, clearly chose favorites in the room, and never actually taught us how to use the programs we were using. Not very helpful at ALL.

Prof. Ocko really taught me alot! She's a great professor if you're into graphic design, or even if you're just taking it as an elective. She gives good critiques and her projects are pretty interesting.

Ocko is a nice person and she means well. But she is a little crazy. She knows her stuff when it comes to graphic design. She will tell you to change things alot. But, overall, good teacher. Don't miss more then 3 classes cause it will effect grade. but I got a A

ehhhh... shes kind of a whack job, and you never have any clear-cut grading system, so if youre the kind of person that likes to feel comfortable knowing youre getting an A, then this is not the right professor. the was she speaks is annoying too, so bring your ipods

Sanity: questionable. Concern for typography is a little over the top when its not only a type class. Give very poor criticism to work never really emphasizes good aspects only the bad parts. last big job she talks about a Wild Wild West movie poster that was not used. Not the best text book either

She is not the easiest professor in the world, but extremely valuable to the department. She is very frank and will not hold back. More importantly, she is honest. She will not patronize a work she feels is lacking. Be ready to work hard and start over often. If you argue your point well though, you can sway her point of view to yours.

Assigned Seating was a bit much. When challenged on it, I quoth "Well, you can sit wherever you want, but i can give whatever grade I want". Basically, she treated us like children, which made her technical and instructional proficiencies irrellevant.

She tries to motivate her students, no matter what level they're on- slow, medium, fast. It's beneficial in knowing her. She reminds me of a 80's new wave kid always wanting to have fun.
