Combine Dr. Cook's general apathy towards his class and its students with his caustic and bitter disposition and it's just not worthwhile (and it's NOT an easy class, the tests are open book but very tricky). If you need a fine arts req. then for gods sake take something else! You've been warned...

lectures are straight from the book, of which we had to read about 5 chapters. the textbook tests were easy, open book, but the play tests are a little more difficult, you might want to take notes if you want an a! you get out early and watch videos sometimes, that he does quiz over.

He doesn't care AT ALL about Theater/you so don't expect a helpful professor. If you're even the slightest bit interested/serious about theater - find another prof. You SHOULD attend class even though he doesn't take attendance. He doesn't care if you pass or fail. I don't know why he "teaches" here

Theater appreciation is the easiest class at Baylor. Doesn't take roll. Only has maybe 4 tests. All you have to do is go to the assigned plays(about 2) and take the tests. Tests are open book and open note. EASY!!!!!!!!

This class sucks! Don't think that you can just go talk to him and he'll give you an A, because that's what I heard. His tests are totally bogus, even with the books. Don't blow this class off too much or it'll get you in the end.
