His lecture is clear enough and lab instruction is so straightforward that students don't mess up with their assignments. When students ask questions, he is very patient and helpful. His exams are not difficult at all as long as you review all the assignments and lecture slides. The class average of 1st and 2nd midterm was 78% and 69% respectively.

Okay teacher. I found him a bit dry and that he went a bit fast, but that might be because there's a lot to cover in this course. But overall the work is easy if you take good notes and read the textbook once in while.

a very nice person, tell you almost the solution if you ask him. his lecture is full of labs so prepared to spend 20+ hours each week. the lecture is not interesting but still worth going since he gives you some important tips to the lab. he doesn't give easy mark but he gives you no hard time either.

I dont know why people say he's not that great of a teacher. He doesn't explain things well on his site, but he does explain labs very well if you ask him directly. He helped me alot when I was creating my website and I learned alot in his class. I never really read the text book either. It's a mystery how Levinson got a better rating then him.

He looks really like Ben Affleck! He is the best instructor ever. I hated programming and he made me very interested. He is always available for extra help. He helped me ALOT even when I showed up at lunch hour, he left his office (while eating) and came to the lab to help me! Not so hard exams, but if you listen to him in the class, you'll be fine

WTF? RTFM and you may get a good mark! The in-class notes were almost no good for the exams. Sleep in class then RTFM at home.

Study hard and your mark will reflect that. Midterms are fair, final is not completely similar to midterms, beware! Show up to his class, take notes, listen and appreciate his way of teaching. Don't give up on the labs, and if you ask him for hints, he'll give it to you. Nice guy + gives u every mark u can obtain :). My final mark: A+ :)

Brain know his stuff, but i find him very mono-toned, which put his students to sleep. He is very helpful and willing to spend a long time try to explain the course materials. Just try not to keep his class.

He is a teacher for hard and high level computer science class. For classes like bcap and first year cpsc,,, it's just way to easy for him(CS deparment doesn't have enough teachers). and if you take OS2, or 2261 or any hard courses, you will know how good he is.

This guy rocks! He's really generous with marking, for assignments and midterms. You do need to study though and do the labs. If you can do the labs, you will be able to do the questions on his midterm. Pretty much what he teaches (notes) is what you will be tested on, not so much from text. Boring lecture, effective teaching method. :)

Dont bother go to his class, class average is 60-70 on mid-terms and I got 90 on average without attending his lecture after MT1. Just read the text carefully and you will do fine
