Comment:
Dr Bharat is a wonderful man, but a tough cookie. You must be in class, must take notes and must do your readings for a B. If you want anything other than a B you better start memorizing this text book early. Tests are hard and get increasingly harder as the semester progresses. Ask for help if unclear or it will come to bite you in the end.

Are there any good finance/economics teachers at fairfield? Apparantly not. The material would be interesting if someone knew how to convey it to students and not make it seem so intellectually distant and boring (which it really isn't and shouldn't be). Coughing fits make you think he could keel over during any lecture. Avoid this teacher.

it is time for bhalla to either retire or upgrade from the 1985 textbook. this class has not changed since the fall of communism. the only reason to be in class is to pointlessly copy the mans outdated powerpoints which he refuses to distribute to students. entire class is asleep after 10 minutes. the good part is his tests are easy.

hes super smart and really an easy grader if you put the effort in. The tests cover everything in his powerpoints and he'll review the basic concepts for the test. Really nice guy.

Nice guy, but talks too much about nothing and sometimes is a hard grader. Very knowledgable though.

FI 200 has awesome material, but the teacher wasn't that helpful with any of it. If you read all the chapters then you'll be all set. The two tests are essay questions (3 out of 5), and basically what you get on your 13 pg. research paper is what you get.

The professor had trouble conveying subject matter as a result of the language barrier. Also, his grading system was unclear. With only three grades, and virually no comments on the midterm/ term paper, no one was sure why they got the grade they did.

Can't speak a lick of English. Replies to emails by referring you to another teacher. Very inefficient with the Microsoft Office Suite... He actually found the very last cell in Excel, then didnt know how to get back.
