Comment:
Dr Clark has expectations from his students, if you don't put forth effort, you will not pass. The material is clear, however the required implementation could be more clear. Make sure you have the power point slides available while doing projects, as everything required is within. Not an easy 4.0, it required lots of hours per week. Great prof

Bill relies to heavily on PowerPoint slides, but that being said, at least his slides are really good. He's not the most approachable teacher, probably due to his age, but he does try. Except for the first assignment, which had some bugs, getting the projects done we're quite easy. In the end, I do feel I have very solid foundation in 3D graphics.

Comment:
Only reads from slides that are available online. Doesn't explain the math, doesn't give guidelines for program setup. The code he gives that you are expected to use is incomplete and buggy at best. More time spent decoding his junk than actual homework. Acts like a jerk if you ask him anything about the class and often doesn't explain it.

Clark's PowerPoint presentations were very clear and he was very focused through out the class. I learned a lot from his lectures, so don't miss them! Be prepared to work though, as he hands out two massive mid-terms and a pretty big final, not to mention he blazes through the 10 labs he has. We had all the labs done half way through the quarter.

PowerPoint slides do get old, but learning the material is important with Clark. Make sure you ask questions about assignment specs and you fully understand what he is looking for. Seeing him in person is the best way to get any help you might need. I agree about not slacking off. You -will- fall behind and he is strict about assignment dates.

Over the course of GUI I have not seen Clark write a single line of code on the board. All of his lectures were drawn almost entirely from powerpoint. Google is your friend in his class if you have any questions.

Bill is a great teacher. His powerpoint slides are kind of distracting, but he makes them available so you can just pay attention to what he says and not the slides most of the time. I didn't find his assignments overly difficult, but you cannot slack off or you will get hopelessly behind. If you're a good student, you'll do fine.

One of the worst teachers I have ever had. If you cannot look at a math equation and understand it without explanation, do not take a class from him! If you do, be prepared to be graded down for his mistakes in his own code he requires you to use on assignments.

OK, the Only downside to this guy is that he re-uses powerpoint slides (I'm not a fan of powerpoint-based teaching). Other than that, he is very easy to understand, expects a lot (400-level class!), and knows his stuff. He is very helpful in and out of class, and really does spend considerable effort helping his students. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Nice guy. Gives a lot of homework, but explains well. Negotiable. If you want a good grade, expect to be talking to him after class. Slides: Are reused but helpful. He can explain their material, which is better than just slides by themselves. Straightforward material.

One of the worst teachers I've had. Grades down on assignments based on previous ones before previous ones handed back. Grades down for almost anything on midterm/final, which make up most of the grade. Unfortunately, he is the only one who teaches 470 and not very well at that.

God, I've only had this guy for a few days and already it's clear that his obfuscating power point slides and due-in-class work makes him a crappy professor. He seems like the kind of guy who'll dock you at any excuse--avoid this joker

Any monkey can get up in front of the class and read powerpoint slides to a room full of 30 kids. Bill is very nice and pleasant, but is of absolute no use at the front of a class. There just HAS to be a better way than to recycle the same powerpoint slides for years in a row.
