Comment:

Professor Euler is one of my favorite professors I've had so far, mainly due to the fact that his materials and tests are so straight forward. Memorizing his practice reactions was the biggest help because a large percentage of each test was completing and balancing. The class took a ton of time outside of class but the payoff was worth it.

Comment:

Euler may be the best of the 3 terrible CHM112 profs at URI but he is pathetic. The homeworks and quizzes are easy, but he puts trick questions on the exams, if you don't get the trick take 20 points off the grade. Exam grades do not represent your level of understanding of the material. This class is easy, Euler is terrible,is going to kill my GPA

This guy is awful. He teaches the material well but his exams are so unfair. He purposely tries to trick you. Exams are only 5-8 questions and you make one minor mistake and it could take 10 points off the exam grade. I am a 4.0 student, I knew the material inside and out and I would get minus 15 points on every exam for MINOR errors. UNFAIR PROF

Comment:

Attendance wasn't mandatory but recommended for participation grade. Provides old exams and from the last decade on his personal website. Monthly exams are open book which is partially helpful. His notes are legible but could use more depth. He also scales the final grade which is extremely helpful!

If you don't miss any classes, you will have no problem finishing the homework assignment. If you do the homework, you will have no problem acing the exam. Negative - classes are MWF @ 8am.. You will learn a lot at the end of the semester

Where to begin? Avoid his CHM 112 at all costs. Homework assignments due everyday that are graded visciously, pop quizzes, he talks down to all his students, teaches the material as if it were common knowledge, and refuses to help students with homework bc he insists it was already covered in lecture. Basically I hate this man with a passion.

It seems like he intentionally tries to confuse students by equivocating. The tests are harder than the homework. Your grade will be much lower than your level of understanding. Very pompous and dismissing if you go for 1-1 help. Had to drop class to save my GPA.

Probably the most challenging professor I have ever had. Great lecturer. Clear and concise. However it can be disarming how much harder the test are than the homework. In short, very tough but you learn a lot and he actually grades kind of leniently in the end. One test was dropped and the final was scaled generously.

Professor Euler has made me want to cry on many occasions. DO NOT take this class, unless you have the desire to make your self esteem drop terribly and lower your GPA by several points. No matter how hard you try you will get nothing but negative feedback and will most likely fail or get a D.

Horrible, 70% of the class failed the midterm and he then got up in front of the class and basically called us stupid. I worked my tail off in that class and it still brought down my GPA. If you get this man DROP THE CLASS and take it with someone else.
