ok, don't bother buying the text. just buy her notes from class. do well on her essays and writing assignments, get at least a low B in her exams, do all the extra credits and you'll get an A in her class. Lectures are boring & straight from slides. Must buy packets of notes for $1 from her. Go to class bc she shows videos & gives pop quizzes. Exams are not bad; based on note packets & videos. Memorize & know the slides & ur straight. Gives Extra Credit. Have to write papers (essay, research paper, book report). Papers not hard. Lenient w/ due dates.

She is boring as hell, all she does is read off the slides. she didnt take attendance when i took the class so I never went. Stay home and make sure you go over the slides in your textbook and you'll do fine.

Shes SUPER EASY, I think my 10 year old cousin can pass her exams. Shes a very nice lady and I did learn a lot from her slides on Pathogenic organisms. Very clinically related. BUT her exams were VERY VERY easy and she seemed lost sometimes

Horrible! I"m sitting in her class right now- honestly it takes nerve to call yourself a Prof and stand in front of a class and read verbatim from powerpoint notes without even taking the effort to so much as add inflection. Also inserts personal opinion as fact, and has no sense of how to use basic grammar in her "textbook."

Terrible! She sells packets of her notes during class, so definitely buy those because that's all she uses. All her notes are PowerPoint, she gets really upset when somebody asks a question, and is realy boring. Just go to class on the days when you have to pick up new notes, and that's all.

All power point presentations/videos. Attendence "mandatory" but lots of people skip. You write one-page papers on field trips, and a 10-15 page paper for the final. No exams. For the last paper, I just wrote everything from her presentations, that she prints out and gives to the class. Easy A if you're interested in science. Not for non-majors.

Interesting professor, her book of slides is at the bookstore but she also sells it. She reads though directly from her slides as if they're not hers. She not monotonous though. She knows her stuff. Focuses completely on social, not biological. Takes notes from the videos, exams come from slides. I got a C b/c I didn't take the slides serious

take notes on the videos (few pop quizzes), buy her lecture notes, do all extra credit well (easy but takes up some time & energy), & stuff from the old exams from MSLC helps a bit (don't fully rely on them tho!). If you do all that & really study, you should at least get a C since she doesnt help much during class. Exams are very detailed.

Dr. Stolen reads directly off of her powerpoint presentations and sells the presentations to you for $1 each. Taking notes is unnecessary except for on the many videos (most of which are very good) that she shows because they will end up on the exam. The material is interesting, the teaching not so much. Still, an easy A if you study for it.

The class is really easy, so take it for a bio. elective. But...it's so easy you can do badly bc you don't need to go to class really. Do the extra credit. Since everyone does well, an 85 becomes a C though, so beware. But, you can get a B or better if you force yourself to go to class. Boringggg. Nice enough woman though.

if ur willing to study her notes then u will def. get an A, but its a lot of notes, so be prepared. She is very nice and down to earth and she also gives lots of extra credit, it brought me up 2 letter grades!!!
