He makes you read A LOT. His classes are discussion based so you need to read what he assigns. You don't want to fall behind on the readings either. His exams are long but he puts entertaining questions on them. Overall, he's very interesting and knows so much about political theory and philosophy.

Professor Hunt is a very interesting, wise, and caring person. He is a fair grader, expects exactly what he should expect from his students (to come to class and do the work) and is very fun to listen to. He lets the students lead their own discussion, so is not dominating the entire class. Very nice, you feel good when you come out of his class.

Shame on the bad reviews. One of the best teachers at the school (and my personal favorite.) Discussion was a central part of the class, and he is a master at moving them in the right direction. Very wise, as already stated. Can't understand the bad reviews, maybe they were lazy students or disagreed with some of his thinking. GREAT teacher.

Yes, I know, he's older, but man would I have liked to have his children 30 years ago. And he's super cool and nice and cares about his students. And he is sincere about caring, not like some profs in the department.

I majored in political theory (his speciality) but grow tired of his bashing any ideology but communism. The classes is full of busy work and he never lectures, so if you take nothing away from the readings thats what you get--nothing. But he is a nice guy.
