One of the best professors I have ever had! Take a class with him if you have a chance, I wish I was a history major so I could have the pleasure to take him again. Very passionate about the subject and honest if he wasn't sure of something. I took his Holocaust/Genocide class which is a very hard class to teach but but my favorite class.

Professor Myers was the best! He made the lectures fun and easy to understand. I now have a better understanding of history and don't regret taking this course. I would take ANY course taught by him.

Took Wester Civ 2 with Myers and hes great! His lectures are personable and easy to follow, but the notes themselves arent too helpful as they're mostly bullet point dates. I was unable to take the final properly, but Myers saved my grade and was incredibly helpful and flexible with working with my situation. Highly recommended!

Prof. Myers has amazing lectures. He would put up the topics he would talk about on the board and lecture about it through the period. He has a few papers on books we had to read and two tests. I bought the book, but his lectures were so detailed I didn't need it by the end of the semester. Take notes in class and you'll surely pass.

I love his teaching method! He writes out the main topics he's going to teach that day, then talks about each topic. Easier to take notes on your computer. His tests are hard but he gives great study guide and info on topics in class. Doesn't grade too harshly on tests/essays. Gives a lot of good feedback you're able to apply to the next essay.

Myers was a blast. If you haven't taken a class from him, reevaluate your life. The man is incredibly passionate about the subject and wants to see his students succeed, subsequently he isn't a hard grader, but he also can't be played for a fool if your work is poor. Respect him and you'll do fine. Asking questions in class raises your stock.

His class isn't hard. He assigns two papers on two short books that you have to read, midterm, and a final exam. There are no quizzes. As long as you do the papers and do well on the midterm and final, you'll pass.

Note taking was weird at first since he only puts up an outline for the day on the board. He gives really great info in his lectures though and the books he picks for the class are actually interesting. He gives good feedback and he is clear about his requirements for the papers which is nice, there is no guesswork about what he wants.

Great professor. So passionate. Very helpful. His lecture set up is a bit out dated, he writes everything on the whiteboard. There were 3 novels to read and write essays on, a midterm and a final. Follow the criteria for the papers and tests and you will get high grade.

He's that kind of teacher who LOVES what he teaches: Super passionate about history, knows tidbits about different historical events, and encourages discussion. There are two papers (20% each), the midterm (25%), the final (30%), and participation (5%) that make up your final grade. If you are a good writer, then you'll do well. Just show up!

Loved Myers. He's obviously passionate about what he teaches so his enthusiasm really helps. He's pretty hilarious, makes jokes and the environment is relaxed but serious at the same time - you're always learning. Keep up on reading the texts because you'll need it when it comes to midterm and final. I would definitely recommend him.

I have taken three classes with Dr. Myers because he is a great teacher. He is smart, knows his stuff, and is excellent at facilitating meaningful discussions. There is a 5 page paper, in class write midterm, 7-9 page research paper and a take home final that consists of 3 essays total of 10 pages.

The grade you get in class is based off of your midterm, final, and 2 essays analyzing books he asks you to read. The midterm and final are essays as well. If you are a good writer you well do well. His lectures are stand-able. You don't have to show up, but I think he also takes participation into account. If your not a good writer, don't take him

BEST CLASS EVER!! I know genocide is a touchy subject, but the layout and class discussions were amazing. I would highly recommend taking him for at least one class. I ended up taking him for five classes and enjoyed every single one of them. There's no getting around it, the man is extremely intellegent and super cute; espcially when he laughs!!

He is easily the best professor I have ever had the pleasure of taking a course with. His lectures are passionately delivered with insight and honesty, and he is willing to work with you through the most damning problems currently plaguing humanity (his genocide course was the highlight of my undergraduate studies). He is just incredible.

Very humorous and engaging professor. You will find yourself looking forward to this class. He has a strong connection with the subject and is able to engage students with fun tid-bits he must have learned along the way. Understanding, yet fair- the kind of person you'd want as a Judge. Oh, and he's hot.
