As a basic algebra teacher, I thought he was fantastic. The homework was well proportioned, he was always willing to help, and the tests were super easy- the final is pulled right off of your tests.

I had him for Calc I and II. I'm not saying his class was easy, but he graded on a huge curve. I frequently got above 100. He's difficult and expects people to put in the time to understand the material. The greatest thing Mr. Thayer ever did for me was teach me how to teach myself through discipline and hard work.

He sucks! I have never had to drop a class before. Algebra is not my best subject, but he was worse than the homework. He doesn't teach you anything and hes on a power trip the whole time. I think he is a little **** too because when I tried to ask questions he ignored me completely.

He does not teach. He tell you what the author of the book wants you to know but after that you have to teach yourself or fail. I bet he gives out more PR's than passing grades. He is also worried more about juggling than teaching. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!!

The first day I had class with him, I could sense he was a nice guy. 3 weeks into class, I don't know calculus. Random thoughts pop into his head. He's cluelessly unclear. There are days where I say "What are you even asking?" I'm considering dropping this course, as a prior honor roll student.

This guy does not teach at all. We show up and basically ask questions to the smart kid in the back of class. He talks about juggling like it is the only thing in the world. Went into class determined to pass. He is really hard and not easy to understand. Doesn't actually teach anything... have to teach yourself from the book. Talks about random things. Likes if you argue with him about a test answer will give points for that. Otherwise the tests are all you have for a grade.

he really enjoys math and seems very nice, but he assigns too much homework and expects you to know calculus before you get to the class. if i allready new calculus i wouldn't need to take the class. i am an honor roll student and i have to withdrawl for the first time evr. take this class only if you have the ability to teach yourself

He is a very intelligent teacher and expects his students to put forward about 4 hours a week studying. He will answer any questions he can outside of class and will spend time in the tutoring room if you ask. All and all he is a great teacher, but be prepared to put the time in he requires or you won't be successful.

Why is this man still teaching? I'm an honor student and this is the only class I EVER had to drop. He seems to dislike "teaching" lower level math and particularly dislikes students without natural ability. If you can't teach youself algebra, don't take his class.

He does not teach in class. He talks about things that do not relate to the textbook. He also does not lecture from the book either. YOU HAVE TO TEACH YOURSELF. If you struggle with math do not take me. I am usully a good math student and have had alot of trouble.
