also known as William Theiss. You'll regret taking this a class with him. He should retire or be retired, seems like has not checked his assignments in years and forgets his own deadlines. Takes off lots of points for small details for huge assignments. Not worth it as a 1 unit class, way too much stress. Didn't grade HW for weeks, unclear grading

Comment:
I recommend NOT taking this class, its an embarrassment to the great education many get at ARC. Theiss is terrible and does not care about his students learning, he does not respond to emails or have self-awareness of how hypocritical he is. Many students will be as confused as you are, and will also have not heard anything from him either.

Worst online professor ever. His directions are very unclear and he does not provide information. Half the time, I am just making sure I submitted assignments correctly because his directions are so off.

Worth online class I ever had. Professor are not helpful at all. Never communicate to student, we had to find answers from each other. I took a lot of online classes but this one I would never to recommend to anyone. Chose another professor if you want to learn this class.

A bit hard to do this class if you have a Mac. I'd have to go to the library to use the school computers since they are PC. Sometimes the instructions are unclear and you're better off asking other students in the class. Doesn't give enough information about the new chapters and practices we will be doing. If you do the work you will pass though!

Don't do it! This class is NOT Mac friendly (not specified), so you better have a PC stashed somewhere. His instructions are incredibly unclear, and every file (there's millions) has to be put in its own folder and zipped just to turn it in. On the second day of class, we already had a 100 point assignment due. Take a different instructor!

Took this online Fall 2013. Bad professor. He expects you to spell check all communications but he misspells in all communications even tests. Textbook gives you step by step instruction so that it's easy to follow. His tests are lengthy multiple choice questions so you have to read the book. If you do all the work, you'll pass. Project is not hard

This professor is the worst I've ever had. I took the online class and it was a $250 mistake. Bought his book, asked for help numerous times, and he'd respond the "exact" words on his assignment sheet. The problem was, his assignment sheets made absolutely no sense. I am not one to criticize on a teacher, but this one is truly awful.

VERY unclear on what assignments to do and when, directions are all over the place. Makes you download a ton of documents you will never use. Doesn't respond to emails. Not helpful at all, takes off points without telling you why.

Pros: It was very clear what you had to do and when and the book we used gave step by step instructions for assignments. Cons: He takes FOREVER to responds to emails if he responds at all. His quizzes/exams are all insignificant terminology/concept questions unrelated to any homework. Docks points for no reason. I would not recommend!

Such a hard grader on the assignments will take off lots of points for small errors! syllabus and due dates on D2L will not correspond with each other! when you email or message to ask questions, you get a late response or none at all. DO NOT TAKE!

This professor is unprofessional. Ridiculous long orientation at start of the class. He expects perfectionism yet he does not demonstrate it. He is not helpful. In the 8 weeks class, I have turned in hw every week and receive no feedback. Take this professor only if you can manage ON YOUR OWN. You will get no support except from other classmates.

I took the class to learn powerpoint. One class he showed powerpoint presentations for an hour. I would email him my homework state my confusion, no response to questions or homework, but I was tested on it. On a break from class I spoke to him regarding my confusion he stated "Why should you be any different from anyone else". Waste of money.

This professor is easy to talk to. If you miss a test he will give you chances to make it up. He gives a lot of homework, hard one that requires a lot of time. Grades the homework also very strictly and gets you grade low if you don;t follow his directions.

I like him. He is very helpful, and sets up his scoring so that if you do the homework (there IS a lot of homework) and show up for class, you can't get less than a B. If you happen to do well on the tests and exam, that just gets you closer to an A. Word of caution though, if you don't do the homework, you won't pass his class. End of story.

He has answered all my questions in class and in lab.Do go to the lab!! He has a sense of humor. The first test all the ansers were A.B.C.D. through out. The second all the answers were B through out. The tests are challenging and He already knows that. I like him as a professor and will probablly take him again in another class.
