Dr. Wooten is by far the best professor Ive ever had at Berea. He really cares about us and goes out if his way to give us opportunities to practice what we learn. Hes known as the service learning king on campus because every class has a hands-on project that allows us to do real work.

Dr. Wooten always gives us the opportunity to do real work through his service learning projects. In PR (COM 315), I had the opportunity to design print materials and plan an event. Now, I'm working in PR and owe it all to him and this class. Take him; you won't be sorry :)

Loved this class. I took it as an arts perspective originally but I loved it so much that I decided to add broadcast journalism as a minor. And, Billy hired me to work at WBER next year. Not many people have ever told me they were proud of me, but Villy did, and it was the best compliment I've received at Berea.

Dr. Wooten knows his stuff in public relations, and he isn't afraid of letting his students jump in and do real work in the field. I fell in love with event planning because of this class. BUT, if you don't want to work outside of class, take someone else.

Billy's broadcast journalism courses are the best thing about Berea. He used to work in the field, so he knows his stuff, and he actually cares about us. He worked with me for three months to get this amazing internship which I know will change my life. If you have the chance and interest, his media courses will change your life, too!!

Dr. Wooten really cares. I fell way behind in this class, but he worked with me to catch up and actually learn at the same time. Quizzes are like exams, so study hard, but he's one hell of a lecturer!! Maybe totally inappropriate, but he's looking really hot these days, too. Not bad on these gay eyes.

Billy Wooten is the best. I love his lectures. There's pictures, videos, class discussion, real world applications and stories. Plus, he's funny. His quizzes are a little intense but the tests are that much different. Billy's class is challenging but very good. Definitely one of favorites.

This class changed my life; it was the best class I've taken at Berea, and Dr. Wooten really knows his stuff. I knew nothing about Broadcast Journalism but now know I want to become an anchor. His real world examples from his own career outside Berea really helped me learn! Not easy, but fair and SMART!!

Not a very good professor. Picked favorites. Not very open to differing opinions. Did not grade fairly - some people clearly hacked their final projects last minute or used projects from other classes. Referred to a difficult former 410 student as an idiot in - inappropriate no matter what context that was in. Passed but did not enjoy at all.

Two words: SERVICE LEARNING; Dr. Wooten's class gives us real world experience, and I almost killed myself on this ad campaign. His service learning courses are hard but so worth it. He treats us like adults, but he genuinely cares about us!!

I took every class Billy Wooten offered. I recommend taking any class you can with him. He's tough, but it is to prepare you for grad school. Thank God I took him!
