I heard a lot of negative things about Dr. Chitester before choosing to take her but I am so glad I had her. One of my favorite professors thus far. She will help you whenever and is very flexible with schedules (athletes). Organic chemistry was very easy with her and she always jokes around. Totally recommend!

Do not be fooled, BJ's class is going to prevent you from passing and she will not help you AT ALL. It is a shame to see college professors like this and it saddens me. I am a Dean's List student and I have never experienced the disrespect that I've experienced in her class. I'm here to learn, not joke around in class. Thank you.

Betty Jo Chitty, what a wonderful lady. If you aren't lazy and show up to class, you'll do fine. She tends to ramble, but after the first test, you know what you need to get out of her rambles and what you can tune out. If you go in with a good attitude, you'll find her hilarious. especially when she talks into her shoulder

She's very nice and pretty funny but she's not the best at teaching. She's all over the place with her notes. It seems she pulls up a powerpoint and rambles off any information she knows about the topic and half of it you don't need to know. She isn't the best at clarifying topics either.

I am a student-athlete here at Gannon and I have BJ Chitester for Chem of Life 1. She is ABSOLUTELY THE worse teacher I have ever have and ever will have. I don't even consider her a teacher, that's how bad she is. Myself and 8 other students in our class are currently failing. Take my advice: Do not take her. ESPECIALLY STUDENT-ATHLETES out there!

So i currently had her for Chem lab my freshman year. It was a fair class i can say that. If you are unsure of how to do something i suggest going to her and not someone else, she will make you feel slow but its worth the A. Also if you didn't have chem in high school it might be tough, also make sure your chem lecture keeps up with lab or you cry

Exams come right from her Powerpoints. I did not find her too helpful because when I approached her after class to grasp on a concept, she told me I "didn't take good enough notes," but a couple students around me did not know the answer themselves. Other than this incident, she's very laid back.

I had Betty Jo for Gen Chem Lab once a week at 530. She made lab quick and easy for the most part. Which was great because who wants to be in lab late at night?? She graded labs fairly easy!! Take her she is funny too!

She is easy to follow in lecture, but does sometimes get a little mad when you ask questions. Her exams are okay, but sometimes a few questions just come from thin air. Alright professor, I guess.

Very enthusiastic professor who makes chemistry practical. She gives lots of quizzes but drops the lowest 4. also offers bonus. If you keep up with the material and dont just forget it after the quizzes, you should definitely get an A.

great teacher. makes chemistry easy to understand and fun. her lectures are great - especially when she talks to herself in her weird voice. LOTS of quizzes but they do help your grade as long as you review your notes before the quiz. she's a very fair teacher and will help you if you just ask. take her!!!
