Great professor, great sense of humor. Likes to engage everyone in class discussion, but even if you are a quiet person, you will have something to say b/c his questions are very thought-provoking. Violence class is very interesting and will likely turn out to be one of the best I've taken at SMC.

i'm starting a bjorn fan club! he is increadibly smart, kind and funny. his classes can be challenging, but you will gain alot from them. he's the kind of prof who will push you to try harder, and you'll love him for it. take his asectics saints and sinners class

Strange sense of humor. But, asks stimulating questions that otherwise would not be addressed. His dad was a Nazi soldier, so he has a massive German guilt complex. If this annoys you stay far away from him; he connects everything to the holocaust.

I loved Violence- I think it gave me some insight into what I want to do later in life. But 8 am! We cannot think philosophically then! And Bjorn's attendance policy is way too strict. But I like how much he makes us delve into each subject.

Aesthetics, Saints and Sinners was easily the oddest class I ever took, but Bjorn definitely made it interesting. A great guy, always there to help and if you haven't seen him dance with his daughters you have no idea what you are missing.
