I love KVK. Her classes are interesting and engaging, she leads class discussions really well, she's always willing to stay after and chat, and she's a really nice person. She definitely has high standards, but if you're willing to work hard, you'll totally be able to get an A. Grades are usually based solely on papers and participation/attendance.

I love KVK. She's incredibly knowledgable and leads class discussions really well. Her grading usually relies completely on papers and attendance, and she does have high standards for your writing, but she's totally fair and her topics are super interesting.

She is definitely intelligent and know what she is talking about but is is very unclear. Whenever you ask her a question she never gives a straight answer. Most people in the class don't know what is going on and it goes of topic a lot.

I am in love with Katharina von Kellenbach. She's so cool. She explains everything to a tee and opens students minds to new ideas and concepts. In regards to one of the negative comments on this page, she's not mean, she's just honest, especially to those that are incredibly closed-minded and insult other people's beliefs first.

Great class. I took it as a freshman and I didn't find it too hard to keep up with the workload. The weekly papers are the most work that you get, but as long as you don't procrastinate them they can actually be quite interesting. Great class discussions!

Highly demanding. Do the reading--twice if necessary--and be ready to defend any argument you make in class. Values preparedness and evidence of critical thought. She'll get on your case for tardiness/absence, too; very uptight about that. Approach her classes with an open mind and you could wind up learning a lot and really valuing the experience.

I HATE this woman, she hates anyone who doesn't agree with, and makes blatant derogatory remarks about people's beliefs. I dropped her class because I had never had such a disrespectful teacher. Add that to her having a research paper every week and I pretty much wanted to shoot myself every second I was enrolled. The woman is evil and prejudiced.

She is really into the class and wants the students to participate. She is open to everyone's opinions, not just her own. She will not tell you that you're wrong, but she will get into a debate to discuss the difference in opinions. And she's willing to admit she's wrong. Overall, I liked the class a lot. She's a good teacher.
