Comment:

Get a different professor. He goes off topic in lecture making it almost pointless to even go. If you have the wrong equation on a test he either writes the right equation but in the wrong way or he just puts a question mark. He also makes people feel bad in lab cause they have something wrong. He doesn't explain things either.

Didnt show up for the first day because of FFA strike. No help in his office hours. Went to the Ferris free tutors, a home tutor and spent an investment on Varsity Tutors. None of that helped my grade. Definitely do not recommend this professor.

Everything on his exams is done in class and is explained well for the most part so it's easy work. He can go a little fast at times but that can easily be helped by reading the book. He's a bit of a jerk when asked questions but don't take it personally. The biggest concern is his grading scale. There are only 100 points so make them count. 1p1%

Your best bet for this class is to get a tutor. He is very hard to understand and not very willing to help you. Went to his office hours multiple times and he was absolutely no help whatsoever. If there is another professor available switch classes because he is terrible.

Bo Lou is one of the most caring professors I have had. He gets very excited while talking about Physics and will always help if he is asked. He may seem standoffish but if you show you're interested and want to learn he will respect you.

Bo is an amazing professor with a passion for teaching, not just a passion for the subject. The labs were fun and generally under and hour long and lectures were very clear and helpful. He wrote the book so don't bother buying it. Instead just go to lecture and take good notes and use the study guide.

He's actually pretty good at teaching the material, but he is EXTREMELY rude. Anytime anyone in lab asked a question, he would make them feel stupid and be of no help at all. Because of this, I felt he was very unapproachable.

"YOU KNOW NOTHING" is what he says when you ask a question or do not understand something. He will belittle you in front of everyone and he made one girl cry in lab. The class itself is not hard, but he makes you not want to come because of the comments he makes.

Great guy! I wish he taught everything, just show up to lab and do the work and get 18% of your grade, need to make up a exam? he will let you do it at his office hours(had pharm school interviews). as long as you do the problems he gives you, you should get every question on the exam/quiz right! his question are the same, sometimes just in reverse

Bo Lou is an amazing professor. A lot of people complain about his accent, but his accent is not bad at all. He makes things easy to understand. Do the homework, online quizzes and tests, easy A. For quizzes, just doing the homework will have you prepared, even if you do it last minute. He does come off as rude, but he's not trying to be.

Great teacher - helped write the book so definitely knows the material and how to explain it. Most people just use the study guide (which he writes) and do fine. Do all the homework and practice and it's an easy A.

you cannot understand a word he says, he seems to know what hes trying to teach you, but he cant teach it to you very well. does not give you credit for work on tests, which are multiple choice, and there are only ten questions per test, so one mistake on a test means a lot. do not take this professor.

Bo is a great prof. Extremely helpful and understanding. Show up for his labs, free 24% (pretty much)each point is worth a point in the class. His classes are structured, but the structure is perfect for the class. The quizzes come straight from the homework. You can the see the test questions before the test, they are usually in the online quizzes

If you enjoy learning, take Bo Lou. If you pay attention in class, study the material a little, and work problems you will be fine. He's very smart, and just don't be emotional if he corrects you he doesn't mean anything bad by it. Labs are super easy..no lab reports.

very clear, explains things very well, but can only teach his way. if you don't get it, he can't help you and makes you feel stupid that you don't get it. if you memorize the equations and know the math, tests are a piece of cake. quiz questions are directly from the book. labs rarely last longer than an hour. good teacher... highly recomended

His test and quiz questions come straight from the homework. Word for word. He may change the numbers around. Take advantage of the SLA section. Beware of the concept questions. They can be tricky. For some reason he uses Mike Tyson as an example in one of his lectures.

Had him for 211 and 212. His examples are great. Always gives you the main points and his test are not hard. Do the quizzes online which are almost exact questions on the tests. He seems to be unapproachable, but if your not a slacker and have some respect for him he is a really nice guy.
