She requires way too much, and it's to the point where I am no longer completing assignments to become a better writer, I am completing them because she makes them due too soon. I scramble to finish my work on top of all other class work, and I am learning nothing.

Comment:

I had Lady Mo-Jo for ENG361 & 362. I did well in both, but she definitely makes you work for your grade. There is a lot of reading. It is upper level English after all. She wasn't always clear with directions and expectations for assignments and she seemed easily frazzled when asked about them. Also, she seemed to read her lectures from her notes.

Definitely the worst professor by far. Didn't want to be in honors? HAHA too bad because she makes this class seem like an honors class. She gives more homework than the honors, does not know how to give directions, thinks she is always right no matter what, and thinks students have no lives outside her classroom.

She is frequently forgetting things on the syllabus and changing it. She expects you to just write papers with no help or guidelines from herself. She believes that writing is the single most important thing you will use from your collegiate career. Do NOT take her for ENG104 if you don't have to.

She's a terrible teacher. She's confusing. Her presentations barely make sense and her examples are completely useless. She grades papers based on opinion and knows nothing past the Victorian period. I feel like I could be a better teacher than she is and I absolutely hate teaching.

She was difficult and oftentimes unclear about what was due. She's definitely passionate about English and knows what she's talking about, but she gets off track easily and gives vague advice. However, she does push you to do your best and improve. She also changed my perspective on some things in a positive way.

She was a nice prof. outside of class. Once in the classroom, I never got my questions answered or understood what she was trying to explain.She uses too many classes as her walking around to "help" each person. What happens is you get her attention for 2 minutes then the rest of the class your twiddling your thumbs. Was not impressed.

MoJo grades fairly tough, and expects you to do the work you are assigned. I liked her. She will push you to do your best, but sometimes her tips are vague. She is really clear about what she expects and what work needs to be done when; plus, she is very helpful and more than willing to schedule a time outside of class to meet if you struggle

She came off to me as being very nice. Some English majors complain about her having a "good" and "bad" list, but honestly, if you respect her and put effort into the work then I really don't know how there could be any problems. She can grade papers somewhat strictly, but she has to transition students from high school writing to a college level.

I'll be honest. I really like her! I'll never forget the time she broke out in a medley of songs from the Don Quixote musical! Advice: If you can write well, she will LOVE you. If you're having trouble, talk to someone who can give you some pointers on the writing style she likes.
