Easy as pie. He has 2 tests that are open book, open note, open everything and they are take home. There is one paper that is 10-15 pages and over any ponzi scheme besides Bernie Madoff. He really knows his stuff!

This is the only online class I have ever wished I took in person. Bursik's online lectures were interesting, and he seemed to have a lot of good input and stories that I'm sure lecture courses get to hear more of. For my online course: easy power points, a LOT of readings and videos, overall easy to pass with a little effort.

Comment:

Didn't require much work. took his online course which consisted of 4 exams (50 questions) and 2 extra credit opportunities. You HAVE TO read the material & print out the power points; it'll be super helpful for exams. Material wasn't hard just there was A LOT to read/watch. Over all easy A as long as you keep up with the material.

Online. Grade is only based on 4 fairly simple/multiple choice tests- so be prepared! Only reason I gave him a 3/5 on helpfulness is because he doesn't offer extra credit or homework assignments so it's hard to improve your grade if you don't do so well on a test.

Nice, simple class. Took his online section only. Gives an outline for each lesson in the syllabus and follows it directly, no surprises or last-minute assignments. If you have trouble with the exams, print out the PowerPoint outlines and use those for help. Overall a really helpful, clear teacher who makes the class fun and easy to understand.

Rob is an amazing teacher. Anyone who gets the chance to take his class should. Every class was fun and educational. He knows exactly what he is talking about and makes sure that everyone understand. Bursik was one of the best professors I think I will ever have... super fair and nice man. Also, the class was very laid back and the tests were really easy. I got an A with little effort compared to most classes. But, you need to go to class (you'll want to anyway), print off his ppnts, and read what he tells you to. I loved going to this class.

Truly an excellent professor. Dr. Bursik (call him Bob) is a published scholar and well known in his field. He is also dedicated to his students, and always available to help. It's a rare opportunity to take a class this good, so don't let it pass you by, particularly if you're serious about criminology or deviant sociology.

This guy is awesome! Seriously the best teacher I ever had. He really knows what he is talking about, and tell interesting stories to keep you interested!
