The only thing I am sure of is that he marked attendance. Did not post grades online or hand papers back. Forgot due dates constantly and lost papers. Didn't tell us what time the final was until the day of. Extremely disorganized. Lectures tangental and often did not tie back to the reading.

Professor Cosgrove is the most mind numbing at Saddleback. Lost my assignments and acted like it was my fault. Disorganized and confused.

Great man, okay teacher. Passionate about what he teaches, though his assignment calendar changes often and you do not get most of your work back. Needed 3 books for the class, used all of them. One group project at the end of the year. No clue what my grade was in the class because he does not update blackboard.

Honestly, one of the easiest classes. Take him if you need to boost your GPA and don't complain about how boring lectures are if you do. Virtually no homework, tests are super easy. It really helps with prereqs if you're already a super busy full time student. Just show up enough and submit whatever paper he wants you to write about and get that A!

Ok, I've read other comments about Cosgrove being old and windbaggish and forgetful, but the arrogant comment is unwarranted. I liked him. Yes, he did go off on tangents mostly and he has this thing about giving fifty pages of colored handouts that have nothing to do with the class, but he it was like having your gramps teach. Don't take though.

Unclear, disorganized. Old, clearly is taking full advantage of his 10 year. He teaches all three courses (21A, 21B, 44) EXACTLY the same. Same books, same videos, same handouts. He loses assignments all the time. And speaking of, his assignments are papers meant for you to boost his ego. English majors must suffer through but if you can: AVOID!

Don't take this class. All he does is talk and lecture the whole entire class about pointless sh*t. Gives you 1,000 handouts every class. Not clear at all and doesn't use blackboard. Makes you write him a letter about how great of a teacher he is. Never gives you back your graded essays.

Very nice old man, but he will spend all class time talking so much nonsense! Work load is not too much, and test were easy. Take this class, but just a heads up you will have to hear his bulls*hit stories.

class is a very easy A. All the people who rate him bad are probably butt hurt because he is very easy going and not strict. Instead of book work and tedious tasks he just lectures on life lessons and how you should re-think things you are doing now and think about the consequences of your actions. Will be taking him again.

He is a rather nice person, but extremely mind-numbing. He has a tendency to ramble on about his life, and for the most part his stories have nothingto do with the lesson. The books he assigns are actually good, and you learn more from them than him. He is forgetful of due dates, so be careful and have your work done early just in case.

This guys is not a good teacher and he talks the whole class period, no back and forth interaction. The worst part is he flaunts how smart he is, its annoying! he asks you to write a letter to him saying how great he is..i cant handle it don't take this class!

Cosgrove is the sweetest guy ever, but his class is a waste. I went in enthusiastic to learn about mythology, but the lectures were never about mythology. Lots of handouts, lots of talk of death, lots of memories of his buddies that have passed away... If you do the reading you'll learn, but it will rarely ever be brought up in class. GREAT guy though!

This is the worst class I have taken in 2 years at Saddleback. DO NOT TAKE!!! You learn absolutely nothing about mythology in this class. Instead he gave us 500 handouts a day about current events and he would always forget about work that he assigned us. He always showed up to class late and kept us later than he is supposed to. Very frustrating.

Nice guy. Very mind-numbing at times. He makes enough handouts to frighten a giant sequoia tree. You never really learn anything about mythology. Instead, it's more like philosophy. All you learn is that you might die unexpectedly tomorrow. Kinda depressing, really. The assignments aren't so tough - he even canceled some due to bad time management.

Nice guy and very helpful but the class is unpredictable. due dates constantly change and the syllabus is worthless so attending class is crucial to get a good grade. Dont underestimate his assignments, they take time and thought. Fair grader. class can be boring at times but overall id still take him again

Cosgrove is a really nice guy, but on the first day of class it is already obvious that he is a little out there and doesn't have much attention span from one topic to the next. We never got any of our papers back, and he didn't post grades until the day before the next semester started. Don't take this clas... seriously. you will regret it.
